About this deal

No complaints at all about the picture, with the 4K version presented in Dolby Vision HDR for those with the kit to take advantage of it. Koven; Werewolves vs Soldiers: The Making of Dog Soldiers with Neil Marshall, Producers Christopher Figg and Keith Bell, Actors Sean Pertwee, Kevin McKidd, Darren Morfitt, Leslie Simpson and Emma Cleasby; Combat: a short film by Neil Marshall, the usual Trailers and Photo Gallery, and also Optional English subtitles for the hearing impaired. The best horror films are those that throw the lead character(s) into insurmountable peril, to the point of no escape, and manage to take you on a journey full of tension and scares, twists and turns, blood and gore and a genuinely emotional experience.

Read more about the condition New: An item that is still in its original shrink wrap from the manufacturer and the original manufacturer’s seal (if applicable) has not been removed. So, to summarise, once the blackness of the night fully envelopes the house, carnage and attacks commence as the (now seen) werewolves try to feed, and the soldiers try to survive. Review System: Denon AVR-X4300H, MK Sound LCR750 and SUR55T, XTZ S2 Atmosphere ceiling mounted, SVS PB-12 Ultra. In the past 10 years at Why So Blu, Brandon has amassed over 1,500 reviews of 4K, Blu-ray and DVD titles.

Sean Pertwee is particularly good as Cooper's commander, a brusque, smart guy who is badly wounded by a werewolf; Cunningham plays his exact opposite as a cruel, steely-eyed man who looks down on the "ordinary" soldiers, and would gladly see all of them die. He explains how his father influenced his love of horror, and then talks about the production of Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday, and Centurion. Sounds are actually pretty clear, crisp and clean sounding that aren’t as rough as the video appears. The booklet features essays by Alison Peirse, Anya Stanley, Zoe Rose Smith, and Craig Ian Mann, as well as a collection of production stills, and interviews with Marshall and producer David E.

That’s not too surprising, considering that how many different releases that Dog Soldiers has had in a variety of territories. The commentary with Marshall was recorded for the 2015 Scream Factory Blu-ray release of the film, so ignore his comments regarding the transfer, since they only apply to the one that was used for that disc. The earlier scenes with the soldiers talking about slightly cliched things does show up it’s early 2000s vibe, but Sean Pertwee offers a gravitas with his stories and central position. There isn’t much at all that you can fault in Dog Soldiers; it showed what Marshall could do with a limited budget despite having the wildest of scopes.Dog Soldiers turned 20 on May 10th that is why I decided to record a little rendition including the upcoming book Sausages - The Making Of Dog Soldiers by Janine Pipe which is out this Friday 13th! Dog Soldiers opens with an inconspicuous couple camping in the Scottish Highlands, and whilst getting their thing on, and after offering an early Chekhov’s gun, their tent is opened from the outside and they’re killed by something we don’t see but sounds animalistic. And "Dog Soldiers" certainly suggests that that wouldn't be an easy solution, as it pits soldiers against lycanthropes in the woods -- and despite the slightly cheesy werewolf suits-on-stilts, the movie is a harrowing, claustrophobic experience filled with blood and shadowy violence.
