I highly recommend people give this book a read as it will open your eyes to just how difficult other peoples lives have been.

Many of Britt's fellow invaders carried American flags, figuring the French would be less likely to fire on US troops. Then Kershaw continues the story with happened to these men after the war, and here the story moves from heroics to somewhat of a tragedy.
