It was a bit different from my other Tarot decks, so I thought it would be a good addition to check it out. First introduced in 1970, the compelling art deco imagery in this now-classic tarot deck brought medieval tarot symbolism into the modern Aquarian age. This 78-card deck is for highly sensitive people who need encouragement to put their Divine messages into action. The ones I received are smaller, the printing quality is also quite poor (colors are clearly less vibrant).

I was attracted to it by the wonderful art-deco style and the watercolors, both of which appeal to my sensibilities. The imagery of the Aquarian Tarot deck has many traditional elements seen in beginner decks, but lacks many of the symbols found in decks like the Rider-Waite or Robert Henson. This 78-card deck is meant to be used as a Tarot deck, allowing you to use them as a traditional deck. There is a simplicity to the cards and they are very nice to use with people who may think traditional Tarot cards are a bit scary. What sets it apart is its very attractive Art Deco-ish style and its precise, highly polished execution.Pocket editions of tarot cards which are just smaller versions of the standard size will get very badly scuffed around the corners of the box within a week if you keep them in a bag.

I have a lot of different Tarot decks, but this artwork was just too interesting and the smaller bridge size makes it stand out from my other decks.I personally like this a lot, since not only are they obviously very rarely ‘scary’ cards in terms of your interpretation, but also you don’t want the client to be unnecessarily worried about the cards you’re laying out if there’s nothing for them to be particularly worried about. In recent years, there have been hundreds of new Tarot decks coming onto the market and reshaping the way we see Tarot.

Italian-born American-raised artist David Palladini released the Aquarian Tarot deck in 1970, when he was just 24-years-old.
