About this deal

It has rich mature fruit flavours, ON THE PALATE, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed with a luscious long finished. After a decade of continuous care, Graham's "10 Years Old" is a wonderful expression of the Tawny style.

Only after careful selection are they matured in seasoned oak casks until the peak of their maturity is reached, then they are blended to perfection. Of course, the wine itself is no longer transported down the Rio Douro in wooden rafts but there is still plenty of heritage and time honoured traditions of manufacturing this particular fortified wine which was devised by the British during the Napoleonic wars to ensure that the nobility still had wine on their table. These are among the most demanding and challenging styles of Port to produce requiring great skill and years of experience from the winemaker and blender.

I like Tawny port to have a bit of heat in it this is smooth and fruity but without the heat its just a little bit boring. The flavour fills the whole palate with huge volume and power developing into an exceptionally long, fresh and honey-sweet finish.
