About this deal

Agatha persists with her pondering relationships of all kinds from close friends to employees, but mostly her thoughts focus on romance, love, and marriage with three varying candidates all with their own pros and cons; no resolution, but with its status quo comes a possible answer.

The book also has interesting tidbits about British legends - involving witches, knights, and the Devil - that are associated with ancient stones. They think they see things that aren't real when a man tries to stop them, looking as if he wants to say something. Whether these were from a 'raging against the dying of the light' or just attempts to make radical changes to the formula, they struck wrong notes for me and resulted a few 1 and 2 star reviews. Theresa mentions that Ursula and Ulrika can see things, knows where she is, and will kill Theresa when they see her. In Devil's Delight it is the day of Alice Peters and Bill Wong's wedding and Agatha and her assistant, Toni Gilmour, are on their way there when they happen upon a man in his birthday suit running in the road.During a time when even the libraries were closed there were a huge number of her Hamish Macbeth (now 35 novels from 1985 to 2023) and Agatha Raisin (now 33 novels from 1992 to 2022) cozy mysteries which were available for free via Audible Plus. When they reach the spot, however, there is nothing on the large, flat rock except a small wet patch.

The next time she sees Bert at the village of Carsely's pub, the Red Lion, where he is with his friends, and has already told them that he saw Agatha without clothes. Toni pretended she was lost in Ulrika's area and ended up in her yard looking at her many plants when Ulrika greeted her. The main case involves a disappearing body at the site of a naturist camp (UK speak for nudists) which of course provides for teasing humour throughout.

When a women is describe as having a dress big enough to be a marquee tent if needed, I stopped reading. Edward Carstairs found a dead body positioned on an ancient stone, but when Agatha and her associate go to investigate, it’s gone. After all, we met Giovanni, the Italian choral director, who slept with Agatha and didn't want anything to do with her the next day. The two handmaidens that Agatha and Toni met and thought were a little too weird and instantly put them on their list of suspects were two sisters, Ursula Danieli and Ulrika Rayner. On a trip from the States to Sutherland on holiday, a course at a fishing school inspired the first Constable Hamish Macbeth story.

Raisin Investigations is busy with a few undercover activities: one at a brewery complaining about a rash of thefts, another at a sixth form college that may have a drug problem, and the last, a bit embarrassing is at a naturist society. Agatha might come across as a bumbling, hard-to-please fusspot at times, but she is a smart cookie and in this novel, she shows some vulnerability. I was screaming at Toni, telling her how stupid can she be after Ulrika told her about all the herbs she grows and that Toni drinks the herbal tea Ulrika offered her.Every new Agatha Raisin escapade is a total joy' ASHLEY JENSEN'No wonder she's been crowned Queen of Cosy Crime' MAIL ON SUNDAYAgatha and her assistant, Toni, are driving to their friend Bill Wong's wedding, thinking of nothing more than what the beautiful bride will be wearing when a terrified young man comes running down the country lane towards them wearing. The mysteries are rambling and convoluted, Agatha’s love life is complicated, and there are an abundance of over-the-top moments that require suspension of disbelief. Theresa and Antonio were having an affair, and before they were to go to Spain together, he disappeared.
