About this deal

I won't claim that all 4 films are classics seems to me that the level of Tim Burton involvment over the 4 movies is uncannily mirrored in the quality of the movies. The Batman Motion Picture Anthology Blu-ray box-set is fantastic value for money and absolute must-have for all fans of the caped crusader.

The franchise won the title of Batman Anthology in 2005, with the launch of Box Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology who included 2-disc special edition DVDs of the Burton/Schumacher Batman films. I especially appreciated the fact that it doesn't have any preview trailers that you have to skip through; the movies begin without having to select play. Arnie's name is 1st up followed by Clooney and a sense that the makers want to push the names in this film to make up for its short commings. Meanwhile, the caped crusader is joined in his fight by new sidekick Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose trapeze-artist family have recently been slain by Two-Face. Batman influenced Hollywood's modern marketing and development techniques of the superhero film genre and proved the critical and commercial viability of the genre. s big-budget superhero fantasy films based on the DC Comics character Batman, all set within the Burtonverse. Finally, in 'Batman and Robin' (1997) Batman (George Clooney) and Robin (O'Donnell) have to stop the vengeful Mr Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from taking over Gotham City.

The first two films inspired the equally successful Batman: The Animated Series, which won multiple Emmy awards. However, I also think these movies are also great in their own way and they may not be as necessarily as dark as Nolan's films, they convey the comic book feeling better. Batman Forever has two classic super-vilains The Riddler (Jim Carrey) and two-face Harvery (Tommy Lee Jones) plus Uma Thurman as earth-woman.

Together they plot to take over Gotham and discover Batman (Val Kilmer)'s identity, using a device which can probe the human mind. The film was a huge success; not only was it the top-grossing film of the year, but at the time was the fifth highest-grossing film in history. Reporter Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl) teams with photographer Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) in an attempt to discover Batman's true identity - an investigation which leads them to the door of mysterious millionaire Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton).

You should always worry when in the credit list at the start of a film the 1st named actor isn't the lead!Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. The Caped Crusader cleans up with the help of his new side-kick Robin in this effects-laden thrill ride. The Bat has 2 villians to deal with in the shape of Harvey Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (Jim Carey) Both of which turn in good performances with Nicole Kidman also appearing as Psycholigist Doctor chase who is Batmans love interest in this movie. It is true that Batman and Robin is probably the weakest movie in the set however, I think it is still entertaining and I appreciate the old-school special effects.

BATMAN FOREVER - Riddle me this: The Dark Knight (Val Kilmer) bat-battles Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (Jim Carrey). In BATMAN FOREVER, Gotham City is once again under siege, this time from the mind-controlling Riddler and his diabolical associate Harvey Two-Face.Together they plot to discover Batman's (Val Kilmer) identity, using a device which can probe the human mind. This collection sees the 'Caped Crusader' facing off against Jack Nicholson's deranged Joker in the original BATMAN film. The Motion Picture Anthology was first released in 2005 as four two-disc special edition DVDs, and later rereleased in Blu-Ray form as a 4-disc set in 2009. I know there are a lot discussions among the fans comparin these movies to Christoper Nolan's recent trilogy. But what really makes this collection shine is the impressive array of extras, with each disc boasting documentaries, featurettes, profiles, trailers and music videos.
