About this deal

This book is so inventive, so startling, so pleasantly strange, and has one of the most satisfying endings I've read in a long time.

Rick currently resides in Georgia with his family, who finds his weird projects just a part of everyday life. A 220+ page book filled with information and colourful illustrations of creatures from cryptozoology, folklore, and mythology. Essential reading for anyone with an interest in unexplained mysteries, folklore, mythology, and the supernatural.

A strange dinosaur-like image has been found adorning a Peruvian water bottle that dates from 200AD (right). The Oxford English Dictionary defines a cryptid as “An animal whose existence or survival to the present day is disputed or unsubstantiated. The legs and abdomen sported a kind of scale armor, and all the back is protected by a still thicker and double cuirass, starting from behind the ears of the anterior head, and continuing to the tail.

His sculptures can be seen in several museums and collections throughout the southeastern United States. In Monster Files, not only does author Nick Redfern argue that cryptids are indeed real, but governments are hiding the truth about them. Through his reliably great writing, which fuses horror and psychological suspense, Tremblay explores grief, heartbreak, substance abuse, trauma, and the general horror of existing in our world today. This title focuses on cryptids like Bigfoot, Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster while giving information related to their origins, theories and place in popular culture.

However, Yeti proves to be a dependable friend and finds a way to surreptitiously help the hikers while staying hidden. As a big fan of cryptids like Nessie, mermaids, and catamounts, I was all in when I saw there was a book about Mothman.

This slim novella is anywhere but slim on story: set in South Carolina, a young boy’s idyllic childhood is disrupted by monsters, both literal and figurative, when his mom’s estranged, enigmatic father reappears. It’s easy to find books about “sexy” supernatural creatures like vampires and witches, but it seems that authors are too good to look down from their ivory towers and into their local woods, where the Flatwoods monster is probably rolling around in its big metal suit, hissing at children and emitting a noxious gas.
