About this deal

Unfortunately, the audio commentary hasn’t been able to be listened to at the time of going to press. Due to the variability of transportation, Package Services and USPS packages may take up to two to five weeks to reach Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and any U. There was a story to tell about people getting tired of Michael and banding together but instead of doing something interesting, it was just an excuse to kill off a bunch of redshirts. good and new idea, but not enough to overcome the wash-rinse-repeat formula that has a vicelike grip on its core. Halloween Kills was shot digitally using a range of Arri Alexa cameras to deliver a 4K digital intermediate. The quality is as new superb not a flaw and my communication with the vendor I found to be polite , helpful , gave good advice and utmost friendly with excellent service skills . Where these sequences don’t work is when Green and McBride work in some silly tone-deaf slapstick comedy with how people try to attack Michael and get themselves killed in the process. The pick of the litter is the audio commentary with David Gordon Green, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Judy Greer.Halloween Kills, like so many of its franchise sequel brethren, efforts to advance the story while essentially telling the same story.

But it also felt like the sole reason for this movie to exist was to just take the violence to 11 and nothing more. It straddles both ‘ultra-modern’ yet retaining a texture that matches perfectly with the ‘new’ and original 1978 footage, thanks to the inclusion of what looks like a fine layer of digital grain that has been added in to further try and match textures. Very good but not quite as successful as Part 1, this parts the filling in the trilogy sandwich remember. The Atmos track for this film is a lot of fun fully engaging the channels to give fans an immersive experience.

This might not have been everyone’s favorite Halloween but I had a fun time with it and am glad to have it in the collection Recommended. But it’s the omnipresent LFE that breathes real life into the film – the wonderful LFE underpinnings of the Carpenter’s score means the room is filled with deep, rich bass from almost start to finish and it's glorious.

If the 2018 reboot was the continuation of Laurie Strode's story and how that infamous night forty years earlier had impacted and devastated her life, this follow up is the story of the town of Haddonfield itself and how it has or hasn’t dealt with those same events. What I hated the most, were the cheezy stupid "lines" and the fact that the folks from the town were a LOT stupid. So I then decided to give it a second chance on dvd and now I can say that is one of the best halloween movies I’ve seen! Now available in a slightly longer Extended Cut with a “new” ending - Halloween Kills isn’t a better or worse movie than what you saw in theaters or on Peacock. Halloween Kills comes to Blu-ray Disc from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment featuring 1080p AVC encoded video and lossless Dolby Atmos/TrueHD 7.

For those not familiar with the details regarding Ultra HD Blu-ray you can refer to my article that includes some pertinent data on the subject. Flesh tones are solid, black levels are terrific as a vital structural component, and red blood is as intense as necessary. Picking up where its 2018 predecessor (itself a sequel to the 1978 original) left off, Halloween Kills continues ‘the night he came home’ (again), this time widening the focus away from the sidelined Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) to explore the trauma the murderous Michael Myers has inflicted on the entire town of Haddonfield.Detail is nice and sharp but never in that modern ‘overt’ way, DoP Michael Simmonds (Halloween 2018, Nerve) continuing to ape original DoP Dean Cundey’s ( Jurassic Park, Halloween 1978, The Thing) use of anamorphic lenses (to give that crystal clear central image with then slight blurring as the image moves away and towards the sides of the screen). After two less-than-amazing remake entries, The Shape looked like he was on the verge of just rolling through the churn and burn remake/sequel cycle. is a 2021 American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems.
