About this deal

It was, however, very-very expensive; sold almost 4 times more than the recommended sale value printed on back of the book from 4 months ago. In Volume 6 in this charming slice-of-life series, mangaka Mika deftly presents us with a very important piece of the puzzle in the intertwining lives of childhood friends – and now high-school boyfriends?

Later on, the boys go to stay with Kakeru’s grandparents in Sendai over Spring Break and Kakeru’s grandfather takes them camping. began as a web comic on the author's Twitter account on April 13, 2018 before official serialization began in Gene pixiv on November 23, 2018.While this doesn’t seem to bother Yamato, Kakeru wants more people to see just how great his friend is and tries to get him to put himself out there more, but things suddenly get awkward between these two friends when Kakeru asks Yamato if there’s anyone he likes and Yamato responds be saying: “Kakeru. Kaina of the Great Snow Sea was the latest televised collaboration between manga author Tsutomu Nihei and CG animation studio Polygon Pictures. Kakeru is forever clueless about Yamato's feelings, unable to believe that anyone would ever have a crush on him. They’re both very sweet and I hope that they’ll be able to start properly communicating and can work things out between them soon.

neither of them make a move in changing their relationship, so they just stay at an awkward point of knowing there's SOMETHING between them, but not acting upon it out of fear or other personal misgivings. Sure, they do provide some of the drama, but they don't feel as shoehorned in as the side characters in some series do, especially the female characters.Kakeru, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to think of his friend in a romantic way and can’t quite wrap his mind around the possibility that Yamato might like him. There's nothing more you'd want to hold closer to your heart once you find THAT book that feels like a getaway, an escape from reality.

All the spines are perfectly white except for a different character peaking for a corner and of course the title. Joking aside, this is a fairly conventional BL manga, but one that still managed to captivate and draw me in with its likeable main characters and romantic tension. But the tone conveyed by the art feels very jarring, and the drama and decided lack of communication drags enough that I'll stay away for now.

Yamato, now the taller (and possibly the more emotionally mature of the two) knows what he wants – commitment – from Kakeru, but Kakeru, lacking in self-confidence (and maybe just not ready to commit to a romantic relationship) constantly ducks out, runs away, disappears whenever Yamato makes a move. Kakeru is an amiable student who flunks all of his pop quizzes, and the handsome Yamato is capable of anything other than making friends. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The unsubtle implication is that anyone not attending is going to be on a romantic date so it’s only those who don’t have significant others who’ll be going along.

Kakeru is carefree and friendly, but a poor student and he can sometimes be a bit slow on the up take. The side characters are also decent and aren't just there to be plot hinderences, which I appreciate. Yamato's fear is so palpable and the tension between him and Kakeru is so fraught that it feels actively painful to read. It's the classic BL setup of a guy in love with his somewhat oblivious childhood friend and is scared of rejection. For example: (In fiction when this happens: Dog dies:😐, Sibling dies: 😐, Lovers don't end up together: 😐 *sigh I guess it wasn't destined to happen. But now they’re older, Yamato is the tall, good-looking ‘prince’ and Kakeru is constantly comparing himself to his more glamorous friend and finding himself wanting.
