About this deal

It was packed full of previously unknown facts, both technical and personal, and a smidge of juicy gossip too. Esempio: se il prossimo ciclo di fatturazione inizia il 7 ottobre e cancelli il 20 settembre, potrai comunque continuare ad ascoltare tutti i contenuti fino al 7 ottobre. Beautifully illustrated with never-before-seen drawings, How to Build a Car encapsulates, through Adrian's remarkable life story, precisely what makes Formula One so thrilling - its potential for the total synchronicity of man and machine, the perfect combination of style, efficiency and speed.

How to Build a Car encapsulates through Adrian’s remarkable life story, precisely what makes Formula 1 so thrilling. As the lead designer of the FW16, and as one of the leading men in the garage in Imola, Newey is better placed than anyone to help to answer the many unanswered questions surrounding the death of Ayrton Senna at Imola in 1994. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. The series’ signature race is the Le Mans 24 Hours, held annually at the Circuit de la Sarthe in France. I agree that it's up to the author what's included - or omitted, and that's fine (unless, of course, such omissions leave a misleading impression of what actually happened). I haven't got to his McLaren years yet, but surely this is Adrian's book, so he's including what he feels is important to him.

These supposedly non-fiction works seem to contravene the Sale of Goods Act criteria of "Fit for Purpose and of Merchantable Quality" that I was taught around the time that Niki Lauda won his first Grand Prix. Despite the offers, the man born in Stratford-upon-Avon could not be drawn to Maranello and has stayed in Milton Keynes for 11 years. He tends to remember events in a distorted way that favors whoever he was designing for / engineering.

The chapters on his early engineer career with a false start at Fittipaldi and moving to the US to gathering Indycar experience via designing the March chassis and with Newman/Haas in the early days are an entertaining read. I wasn't expecting great revelations of personal and working relationships - the author seems to be very much a self-contained engineer rather than a people person - but I thought he struck the right balance when talking about 'characters' he encountered along the way; just enough titillation to whet the appetite but no huge hatchet-jobs. Newey’s career has spanned more than 3 decades in Formula 1, so whether you’re a F1 fan of the Leyton House team in the late 80’s, the Williams or McLaren dominant eras of the 90’s and 2000’s or the Red Bull Vettel success streak from 2009-2013, you will find many insights in this book to pique your specific interest. I don't understand their economics but they reckon that flogging this book cheaply will sell other HarperCollins books to me and you.
