About this deal

Cordless inflator suitable for inflating bicycle and vehicle tyres, sports balls and leisure equipment. Powered by an 18V Li-ion LXT slide-type battery to deliver up to 12Ltr per minute air discharge and 830kPa maximum air pressure. Equipped with digital air pressure gauge, LED job light and auto-stop function at pre-set target pressures. Features auto-off function to prevent accidental start-up during transportation and protection from over-heating. Thermostat activated to protect the inflator when the pump temperature increases and memory function to remember the last pressure settings. Supplied with valve adaptors and built-in adaptor storage. Battery protection circuit protects the battery from damages due to overheating, over-discharge and overload current. Not compatible with G-Series batteries. It’s noisy, dishing out 77dB in operation. And the pressure gauge can be difficult to read since, because it goes up to 250psi, that crucial 0 to 60psi zone is crammed into the first quarter of the dial. However, it pumped up our test tyre from 20 to 30psi in just under two-and-a-half minutes, with no fuss or faff. It’s a shame that the supplied accessories are so basic – just a ball inflator and two adaptors for inflatable toys – still, if you’re looking to spend as little as possible, then the Storm Force Mini does the job. Small tool, big performance: the EasyPump is Bosch's intuitive air pump for all applications of up to 10.3 bar. The unit's real-time measurement and the pre-select function supports convenient and precise inflation results. The pump features a clear interface and a roomy display, readable during daylight. Its compact and lightweight design makes it an ideal companion to take along. Equipped with various adapters, neatly stored in the storage compartment, the EasyPump can inflate all sorts of tyres (e.g., car, bike), balls (e.g., footballs), and even small water sports articles. Inflating has never been easier. Integrated above the hose, Bosch's bright LED light makes sure the valve area is always illuminated. The premium hose has textile cover and a threaded metal coupler, small enough to also reach valves in narrow spaces. The attachable 24-cm hose is rotatable 360°.

Anyone who hates pumping up tyres, but doesn't have to do it multiple times per hour. It'd be perfect for e-bike commuters: you won't get sweaty pumping up a tyre after a puncture and you've got the spare power to carry the extra weight that a fully acoustic rider might begrudge. Verdict If you need to pump up a tyre in the dark, there's a tiny white LED next to the hose so you can see what you're doing. The intuitive layout control panel guarantees immediate use and provides three different units. Tool's 30° angle for comfortable reading. the device is part of the POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE from Bosch. A single battery can power a variety of devices from a wide range of brands. Bosch's clean and bright display design makes for easy reading of the screen, even in broad daylight. Always showing the current as well as the target value, the display lets users keep an eye on the data.

Larger inflators include rechargeable batteries, which make them completely portable. These are a better option if you want to pump up, say, bicycle tyres, without having to wheel the bike next to your car. You may also need a larger inflator for tyres that need higher-than-average pressures, such as a larger van or campervan. What about extras? He was heavily involved in the mountain bike boom of the late 1980s as a racer, team manager and race promoter, and that led to writing for Mountain Biking UK magazine shortly after its inception. He got the gig by phoning up the editor and telling him the magazine was rubbish and he could do better. Rather than telling him to get lost, MBUK editor Tym Manley called John’s bluff and the rest is history. If you want to be equipped for every flat tyre eventuality, the VonHaus Cordless Tyre Inflator has you covered. It will run for up to ten minutes from the supplied 1.5A lithium-ion battery, but if you forget to charge it you can always switch to the bundled 12V adaptor, which comes with an unusually generous 3.5m cable. It has a small, but still readable, digital pressure meter. And you can just set your desired pressure, pull the trigger and let it go to work: it will stop when it reaches the right level.

Stay safe and improve your braking and fuel efficiency with the best car tyre inflators

The integrated accessory storage holds a selection of the most common adaptors (ball needle, French valve adaptor, balloon adaptor), neatly stored in one compartment. FAST INFLATION & CHARGING】: The rechargeable battery’s 20 volts of working power delivers fast inflation, fully inflating a 195/65/R15 tyre in just 4 minutes. The 2000mAh high-efficiency battery can inflate a set of 4 tyres on one charge. Using the included charger, the battery can fully recharge in just 1 hour. It's a bit odd to me that the big red button turns the device on and off; that's a colour more usually associated with emergency cut-off in electrical equipment. If you were going to follow IEC60204-1 recommendations, you'd perhaps make that button white and use green for the button that starts the air flowing. Speed The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing. The pressure is usually shown in two formats: bar and psi. There are typically two sets of these. The lowest is for normal use, but you may well see another set of higher pressures for when the car is heavily loaded, increasing the weight that’s pushing down on the tyres.

So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however. After 30 days if you are not satisfied with a product or it has failed or become defective, please notify us at [email protected]. DAMAGED CONSIGNMENT An illuminated pressure gauge shows you the pressure readings in an easy-to-read manner, which is especially convenient in low-light conditions. After inflation, all accessories and the hose can be stored in the storage compartment directly on the front of the tool.

Some inflators have 12V ports so they can effectively be used as an extension lead that connects other accessories to your car’s power. If your car isn’t fitted with a USB port, it’s useful to have a tyre inflator with this feature so that you can charge a tablet or smartphone on the road. As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable. Each of the inflators tested here has a gauge that gives you an instant readout that lets you know whether the tyre needs pumping. To use them, simply remove the dust cap from the valve on the tyre and push the end of the air hose over it, before pressing or releasing any catch to clamp it in place. Petrol station tyre inflators have pressure gauges, too, but these aren’t always accurate so it’s best to test using your own equipment. Tyre pressures are typically between 30psi and 40psi (or 2 bar and 2.8 bar). How to test your tyre pressure PowerForAll has many advantages not least the fact that once you have a tool with a few batteries then there is no need to buy the more expensive versions with battery & charger, you can just go ahead & buy the much cheaper no battery versions!
