A high pressure laminate which combines the warmth, depth and natural beauty of real wood veneer with the durability, ease of installation and low maintenance of a standard laminate, all FSC Certified. You can fasten HPL sheets by using a screw connection or an adhesive bond. In our online shop you can find special HPL / Trespa® screws that match the exact RAL colour of each sheet. Using the same colour screws makes them almost invisible. Also leave room for the sheet to expand around the screws, this will prolong the lifespan of the sheets. If you decide on an adhesive bond, make sure to use a strong adhesive that will always remain flexible. Applications of HPL / Trespa® sheets
Our white melamine board is easy to clean, using just a cloth and warm soapy water. You must also use a dry cloth to wipe away any moisture afterwards. Can melamine boards be cut with a jigsaw? What Are HPL Laminate Sheets? Our melamine boards are made up of a clean white melamine veneer that is bonded to our standard MDF board. The core of the board is our MDF with 0.5mm melamine laminate sheets applied to both faces. The result of this is a sleek, modern, and clean-looking melamine MDF sheet. Now available as FSC certified. Melamine is difficult to cleanly cut with most DIY tools, giving at best, one clean face, and one chipped side. Using a jigsaw will potentially damage both faces due to the sawing motion of the jigsaw. If you intend to cut melamine, we recommend using a circular saw. Additionally, the light and smooth surface of the melamine sheet makes it easy to mark up for cutting or sanding down, and it can be cut into various shapes and forms with ease using an electric saw, router, or handsaw. Please note that when cutting MDF, appropriate protection must be worn due to the dust particles MDF can create.
