About this deal

Brush-type Gundam markers have flexible brush tips and come in many colors. A special ink that is water-based is utilized, allowing it to be applied to any type of basecoat and easily wiped off in the event of paint run-off. Brush Type Gundam Marker

However, based on consumer demand, most sets of Gundam markers contain mainly Pour-type Gundam markers. These brush markers have fine and big points that you can use to create weathering effects on your kit. The markers can draw on both porous and nonporous coatings such as glass, although the paint adheres significantly better to porous surfaces. Are Gundam markers acrylic?Liner Types, Brush Types, and Pour Types are the three primary classifications for Gundam markers. How To Use Liner Type HG and RG kits usually have smaller panel lines, so choose a smaller tip marker like .01 or .005 if you can find one. For MG kits, they obviously have bigger width panel lines, which you can use bigger tip markers such as .05 and above. Caring For Your Gundam Markers

Lacquer Markers contain lacquer, which is used to coat materials to give a hard, shiny finish. While a section of hobbyists believe that the markers are lacquered, they are not. Caution must be taken when using particular solvents in cleaning paint, as some solvents, such as nail polish removers, contain chemicals that can eat through the plastic. Sloppy lines are prevalent due to the bigger brush tips. They can be readily cleaned to show crisp panel lines. Don’t use Gundam markers for large surfaces

I don’t want to assume too much here, so I want to briefly cover actually removing pieces from the runners and getting them ready for assembly. Other tutorials might advocate washing the runners with warm soapy water and then thoroughly rinsing them, but I feel like this is more of an optional step and I’ve personally never hit any issues not washing my plastic kits before assembly. The only exception here is if they’ve been left exposed and have gathered dust. Because wriggling may easily destroy the nib, the nib should be withdrawn in a single motion. After rinsing with warm water for a few minutes, pat dry with a napkin. Gundam markers can offer a variety of changes to a Gunpla kit depending on the paint type, knob size and type, and color. Using a damp paint brush, or cotton bud, gently press and smooth the decal to the surface, while absorbing some of the extra water. If you continue to have issues getting it to conform, then more Microsol can be applied to further soften the decal.

Gundam markers are available in different tip sizes. Aside from fine tips, Gundam markers also come in flexible brush tips, which are relatively softer and larger than Liner Type markers. To line panels with liner-type markers, lines drawn with the markers should be drawn directly into the piece’s groove. While gloss varnish isn’t required to use the Gundam Markers, for consistencies sake one of the models in this example has had a gloss coat applied. Depending on the size of the model and the extent of the detailing work, a single Gundam marker can be used to detail and panel line five to ten models. You can use this to identify exactly which marker you need based on its type and color. Which Gundam Marker is most commonly used? Once the surface is prepared, you can begin using the markers. Start with the lightest color first and then move on to darker colors, as this allows me to build up the color gradually.
