About this deal

Para mí, se sienten con cuerpo, ligeramente robustos, muy bien definidos. Este tipo de sonido me parece que es el que más valoro, la fidelidad en estos medios es muy buena.

The sensitivity of the headphones F.A.Q. is determined by the amplitude-frequency response curve F.A.Q. with the specified sound pressure dB SPL of 1 V RMS. For 0 dB, 20 μPa is assumed.

Sony’s high-end headphones impress with sound, disappoint with construction

Los que podrían ser comprables en sonido, serían unos Sennheiser HD 599, pero estos son abiertos, lo que te obliga a usarlos en casa y en ambientes tranquilos. The headphones sound amazing especially after burn-in. They're great for listening to music and surround content (plugged into your AV receiver) late nights without affecting your neighbors. Deep lows, clear mids, clean highs. They're the best sounding headphones I've owned. The frequency response in RAA is obtained through the reproduction and analysis of a special noise signal with the subsequent generation of an impulse response. I bought the MDR-1AM2 in 2022 at sale for a price of 100 euros (the MSRP is more than 200), main reason being I wanted to have a pair of very light headphones. For 100-150euros, they make a lot more sense and they can be very good headphones to fit all usage scenarios, as the microphone included on the single-eneded cable

Sparkling detail abounds in the midrange, with clear and contrasting notes defining the MDR-1AM2. Fidelity comes across as nearly impeccable here, giving the impression of truly meaty mids. High EndNow for the midrange (Vocals) I like it a lot especially when I watch videos or want to monitor my voice. For songs the vocals are clear and you will know they are there. These headphones are very fun to listen to. I love how Sony includes both sets of cables, allowing for flexibility between sources. The pouch contains a separate compartment to store the 2 different cables which is good thinking on Sony’s part.

The frequency response of the headphones can be represented as the selected equalizer setting in the player, applicable to headphones with a flat sound. Subjective "flatness" is perceived differently from external conditions: the volume level of the external noise and noise isolation headphones. When connected to an amplifier, the frequency response can change .

Comfort and weight are perhaps the biggest selling points of this headphone. Sure, those specs are impressive, but they only get more impressive when you actually hold this headphone in your hands and realize just how incredibly light it is. You could wear this baby all day and never feel a thing. There are people describing the previous version as "not bassy", so the bassheads might feel these don't have enough bass The waveform of the impulse response depends on the Sony MDR-1AM2 frequency response and the damped resonances and reverberations and the reverberation in the stand chamber. The visual clarity of the parameters on the impulse response is very low. Visual determination of quality by impulse response was actual in "pre-computer" years. The MDR-1AM2’s predecessors were renown for being extremely comfortable and I’m happy to report that the MDR-1AM2 is the same. To begin, the MDR-1AM2 is extremely light, weighing just 187g. The headband is lined with soft synthetic leather and distributes what little weight of the headphone nicely. In the low end, the 1AM2 exhibits a lively, driving bass – not heavy-handed, but energetic. At times, the bass seems to overshadow low-end detail just a smidgen, but rest assured there is still ample detail at play here. At the end of the day, the lows remain clean and articulate, providing you with a sweet bottom end. Mids

I use this pair mostly with cassette walkmans, application where the elevated bass is a plus, as many walkmans and cassettes don't have a flat I'd say it's a very good looking response for those looking for a v-shaped signature. Nice bass extension while the treble not looking too crazy. Midrange is pretty much spot-on. Dip at 4kHz is shown with a lot of my measurements on other headphones - I think it's just the compensation file that makes it show this. Not bright at all, the high end on this headphone seems almost too smooth for the stated frequency range. And while the MDR-1AM2 hits every high note, this part of the frequency range still doesn’t seem as rich as the lows or mids. Soundstage

Currently popular on idealo

Ears also tend to get hot after listening to it for prolonged periods of time. For the MSRP they ask on it, I really expected a lot more have to be honest. However, there is a downside to this: the leather is like a magnet when it comes to the slightest trace of skin oil, requiring cleaning after pretty much every use. And that depth on the Sony MDR-1AM2 constitutes most of it’s soundstage. There’s a characteristic separation of vocals from surrounding instrumentation. However, the soundstage still seems a bit cramped for instruments. The result is a deeper but narrower listening experience.
