The software features audio analysis and pulse analysis to allow chase scenes to be perfectly matched to the music a lightshow is being used to enhance. As an alternative, the software also offers a BPM Tap feature that allows chase speed to be determined by tapping a key to the beat of the music. The new software also introduces Live Snapshots and Live Scene dimming and Scene speed controls. A simple-to-use color wheel interface makes selecting specific hues extremely easy when working with fixtures that offer LED color mixing and a dedicated Strobe button with speed control is also included. A Master Dimmer fader has also been integrated into the main control interface, while Sub Masters for each individual fixture can be easily accessed through a pop-up panel. The app’s distinctive layout features two FX wheels – one for color chases and one for movement patterns – which each contain eight effect options. These can be selected independently, customized (by altering the color palette, speed, size, shift and fan) and combined to create a vast number of different unique effects which can then be stored for instant recall to one of 50 user-defined presets. In a matter of seconds, incredible lighting displays can be easily created that would require hours of programming using traditional control systems. Building on the success of myDMX 2.1, the new myDMX 3.0 software includes all of the features of its predecessor while adding in a host of powerful new tools for lightshow creation. Using the new software, you can arrange Scenes into groups and play up to four of them simultaneously, allowing different effects and looks to be combined for a new level of on-the-fly creativity. Scenes can also now be flashed as well as edited during a live event using the Blind mode, which allows changes to be made without outputting a DMX signal.

It stands for Digital multiplex', and is a digital data system that allows a DMX controller to take control of any DMX compatible device, regardless of the manufacturer. DMX devices are normally referred to as Fixtures' or Drivers'. Each fixture has a DMX. input and a DMX output. Up to 32 fixtures can be daisy-chained. For connections of more than 32. fixtures, a DMX splitter must be used. Each DMX device uses a certain number of channels. For example, there may be 1 channel to set the gobo, 3 channels to set the color, 2 channels for movement, 1 channel to control the dimmer, etc. Users can select multiple steps in a scene and change a single channel parameter, without altering the rest of the channels FCC STATEMENT. Only one downside - and it's not too bad. The basic software is free and that works just fine - but if you want to stretch the unit then you have to buy an upgrade which is still worth the price.
myDMX-RM is a great solution for a lighting designer to leave at a venue so that their staff can trigger lighting scenes without the use of a computer or myDMX software. myDMX GO has an experimental feature which has been designed to work on smaller screen sizes with a minimum height of 410 Density Independent Pixels (approx 64mm). However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this device does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be deter- mined by turning the device off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following methods: Reorient or relocate the device. Increase the separation between the device and the receiver. Connect the device to an electrical outlet on a circuit different from which the radio receiver is connected..
