This was a really great conclusion to the duet. Mila Kane has managed to wrap up Kirill and Molly's story and still leave you wanting more. Thankfully we'll get more from the Chernov Bratva in the form of Niko. For someone I hated in the beginning she did an amazing job at turning that into a love-to-hate. Look forward to his and Sofia's story. So I was super excited for this read. It was supposed to be an OTT JP super obsessed semi stalker read. And it definitely WAS all those things. I was CONSTANTLY confused. One minute he says how he slept with others the next he say he lived like a monk🤔. Then he loves her then he hates her. He’s hot he’s cold. He constantly contradicts himself throughout the whole freaking first book. I couldn’t nail down this guy and it was SOooooooo frustrating. Finally having Molly in his grasp again only to watch her leave him is the worst pain he's ever faced. He has no choice but to let her run again but he will find her and there will be no losing her ever again. In the meantime, he'll have to figure out how to deal with his brother and father. As much as I enjoyed this one, I will say for a minute it was sitting at a 3-3.5 star read for me. There was just something about it that took me awhile to get through, but after a certain point I felt like I couldn’t put it down which bumped my rating up to a 4. This is book one in a duet, so it does end on a cliffy.. and what a cliffy it is!! Thankfully book two is out already, cause I dove right into it! ⁣

May be triggering for some, as there are dark violent themes (although he cherishes the heroine and doesn’t hurts her physically). I stopped reading and starting skimming to finish this duet around the mid mark for book 1. To say I was super bummed ☹️ is an understatement. During this separation, Kirill blames Molly for leaving him after he sacrificed his life to his father. Even though he loves her, his anger consumes him. Molly's life has completely changed from a life of wealth and privilege to poverty and having to provide for her ailing mother. Kirill doesn't know it, but Molly has never stopped searching for him. The conclusion of this duet was a good one. Like others, I would have liked to see Kirill with the baby. However, given there are going to be more books in this world, I feel like there is g0ing to be a continuation of the story.The heroine is a poster child for doormats. The author tries to convince you she’s a fighter and feisty etc but gives no evidence to support it other than getting mouthy with H for a paragraph before immediately folding to whatever bullshit he’s pulling now. EVERY situation between them is DRAGGED out to an extreme and once the situation is confronted they don’t communicate anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️😤 Monsters are made, not born yet Kirill was both. Unfortunately, Molly realized this too late. He may have forgiven her for running before but when he finds her again, all bets are off. Kirill is determined to get a ring on her finger no matter what he has to do to get her down the aisle. Molly is pretty sure what he may do but he doesn't know what she's hiding. It's nine months in the making. They'll just have to survive his brother and father to see if they can get past what they have done to each other.

Tweakers and pimps wandered the boardwalk, Molly has no idea what Nikolai has planned for her but she knows it can't be good. He killed all of Kirill's guards before taking her and she can only imagine the plans he has to punish Kirill using her. What she finds though is the psycho is not everything she thought. When he starts revealing Kirill's secrets everything she thought she was finally figuring out about Kirill is broken. The characters both have a lot to love and hate about them and their conflicted feelings leave plenty of opportunity for many steamy moments, as well as some sweet ones. You'll be kept on the edge waiting for it all to play out.

This duet honestly had me in a chokehold, like I mean I started the first book this morning and at 23:36 I just finished the duet, like I could not put it down. I should have Loved this read. Instead I was beyond frustrated, confused about who they really were, upset and just overall annoyed. Oh, Kirill! Straight away, you can tell Kirill means business. He's been hardened by the life he has been made to lead because of a love he'd do anything to protect, only to lose it anyway.
