About this deal

But with its depictions of a society obsessed with image, mobile phones and where people will believe anything despite clear evidence to the contrary. All Quiet On The Western Front won Best Film and being filmed in German adds further realism to a film that depicts war so vividly. Tagged with Adam McKay, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, David Sirota, Don't Look Up, Erik Parillo, Hettienne Park, Himesh Patel, Jack Alberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Kevin J. This isn’t the only moment plagued by choppy editing, and Linus Sandgren’s cinematography isn’t as impressive as we have come to expect from him.

A pair of astronomers try to warn everyone on Earth that a giant meteorite will destroy the planet in six months. But raising the alarm about the coming apocalypse is way harder than it should be, and pretty soon half the public starts to believe there isn’t even really a comet.I put it up there with "Wag the Dog", "The Castle", "L'Amour" and "The Road" as movies that should be revered. Back to the present and the discredited medium director Marcus Reed and his producer Josh Petri head to Romania to make a film about Matya's story. They are the ones who discover a comet the size of Mount Everest that is hurtling towards Earth at alarming speed. Two low-level astronomers must go on a giant media tour to warn humankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry).

Even imminent astrophysicists such as Neil Degrass Tyson and Brian Cox have praised the film for the issues it raises.

I like potential end-of-the-world dramas, and Don’t Look Up is an interesting and mostly engaging film, but at over two hours, it does rather go on a bit. Super rich media guru Peter Isherwell (Mark Rylance) sees it as an opportunity to try and get richer. Well, President Orlean ( Meryl Streep) – once seen in a picture of her hugging Bill Clinton – is barking mad, and more interested in having a cigarette than doing any real work. In Don’t Look Up, while the scientists are trying to get the facts out there about what’s trying to happen – and how everyone’s lives are in danger, the bigwigs are more interested in finding a way to turn it into a way to make rich people even richer.
