The headset that will take VR mainstream

Oculus Go represents a step in the right direction for VR. It’s certainly not for the hardcore VR convert, nor the professional VR user, as both demand the kind of processing power which currently only PCs (and, to a lesser extent, consoles) can deliver.

If you're mostly using the VR headset for watching videos, you can save at least a little bit of battery life by copying the movies directly to the headset and playing them from there, instead of streaming them in a private browsing window or streaming them from your PC. But it's not going to save a ton, and you're better off just plugging it in if you're having battery issues, especially since you're not going to be moving your head as much while watching videos. A connection should be made in a few seconds, and you'll be able to see SteamVR Home inside your Oculus Go.
