Among the highlights of this park is the simulated pirate ship with slides, ropes and runways all over the structure. Parents can watch children from the coffee shop while having a break. Right next to the pirate ships is an area where kids can climb on some more structures and even dig for “treasures” (pay a Euro and get a little treasure box to “collect” your booty in!) Tip #9: Got Wet Clothes? No Problem! Use the Dryers! When you arrive, there is a parking garage (5 Euro/ Day) which is just a 2 minute walk to the main entrance. There were TONS of spots, so no need to worry about finding a parking location. Tip #4: There is a Free Electric Car Charger in the Garage!

Since we live in Bavaria, it was really easy for us to drive. Since it’s just outside the city, you don’t have to worry about a ton of city driving and it’s really easy to find. We decided to take B out of Kindergarten on a Friday (I didn’t want to have to deal with a theme park on the weekend in the summer!) but didn’t tell the boys where we were going. We actually didn’t even get over to this area, but supposedly, it is perfect for the youngest explorers. Alright, so now that you know the low down of what to expect in general at the German Playmobil Funpark, let’s chat about all the fun areas and stuff do do! It is worth to know the history of this botanical garden in Malaga before visiting it so you can understand better its origin. A history that begins by the half of the 19th century, years in which the park was a meeting point for high aristocracy and other famous personalities from Malaga. La Negrita Park in Antequera is awarded as the best playground park in Spain. If you are visiting Antequera with children you can’t miss a visit. Getting to Playmobil Park is quite easy. First you need to get to Nuremberg which has its own airport with a reasonable selection of low-cost and legacy airlines connections.

The large playground has attractions for all ages. Among the recommended attractions there is a merry-go-round and the called Pacifier Tree, a perfect place where children can climb on and get rid of theirs. In the park you will find exercise machines for adults and a tower-viewpoint overlooking the coast. You can get access to the tower by stairs or using the lift. The reason we enjoyed the park is that, first and foremost, it has been designed for younger children. I would say up to 10-12 years old. There are no roller coasters here but instead you have all sorts of playgrounds, slides and other play areas you can imagine. They are all organised by themes.

Next to Lego, Playmobil has been one of their most treasured toys. When we were doing research of what to do in Bavaria (southeast Germany), we found that there was an entire fun park just for Playmobil. We knew that it had to be a part of our summer trip. I normally can’t stand amusement park prices. From the entrance fees to the price gauging of food and drink, theme parks are often a budget traveler’s (aka ME, aka a Family Traveling!) nightmare. What was especially nice about the balancing area playgrounds was that there were a few sections within this area, each for a different age group. This meant that while Mr. J could happily play in an age appropriate playground, B also had stuff to challenge him and have fun as well. There were tightropes, climbing ropes, balancing walks, and more. The prior teacher in me loved the Gross Motor skills this area encouraged!!! Police Station Pizza: Right across from the Biergarten is the Pizza/Pasta place (you can get your food here and take it to the beer garden as well)
