Our Christmas windows have long celebrated the importance of storytelling to inspire children and enable us all to build connections with each other. I live in Beijing now but still always go to Fenwick’s window every single year when I’m home for Christmas! It was so good for me, I think I will read it in October every year as a little warm up for the Christmas season and to give myself a boost to keep the Christmas Spirit from evaporating. I never felt completely engaged but I could see this being a great book for children just starting to read chapter books. The book has all the holiday feels of food and family and music, with a lot of Clarice's quirk thrown in.
