Ensure your Iron Hands match the thin-rimmed pauldrons of MKIV armour with 10 resin shoulder pads embossed with the symbol of the Iron Hand. Night Lords MKII Shoulder Pads This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries, which can be fielded in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy as a Legion Tactical Squad of 20 models, or two units of 10 models. Each of these Legionaries is armed with a Umbra-pattern bolter and bolt pistol, with a variety of additional components such as grenades and pouches, and can also be equipped with a bayonet or chain bayonet for melee fighting. You can also build up to two Legionaries with a Legion vexilla, two with a nuncio-vox, and two with an augury scanner. Accessories and alternate heads are included to build a Legion Tactical Sergeant for each of your squads – the kit offers a variety of extra weapon options for these unit leaders, including plasma pistols, power swords, power fists, and lightning claws. These models have no Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint them in whichever colours they choose – however, the box includes a transfer sheet with 339 optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions. Chain bayonets also have the Shred rule so will re-roll all failed wound rolls too, making them even more deadly and reliable. The Raven Guard include winged motifs, Lycaean studs, and corvia – remains of the ravens the warrior interred within would have hunted as part of their initiation to the XIX Legion. Alpha Legion Contemptor Torso Etched Colchisian sigils of mysterious portent dominate the torso of the Word Bearers Contemptor Dreadnought, which also features markings representing the searing fire of the Primordial Truth and strips of sacred parchment. The sons of the Gorgon bear the symbol of the Iron Hand on their armour in honour of their Primarch’s own forearms, which were covered with liquid metal skin during his eventful youth on the planet Medusa. Your units can bear this sculpted mark with a set of 10 resin shoulder pads for MKII Tactical Squads. Iron Hands MKIII Torsos Ave Dominus Nox! The Night Lords are a twisted Legion, using terror tactics to instill fear and undermine enemy morale. The Legion icon is a sinister skull surrounded by spread bat wings, a common motif among the VIII Legion. Night Lords MKIII Shoulder Pads: November 11th, 2022 Prefer a more baneful look than standard beakies? Outfit your MKVI Space Marines with 10 sculpted resin shoulder pads featuring the Eye of Horus, as well as a set of 11 resin heads for the Sons of Horus – nine Cthonian helmets in three different designs, plus a helmetless head and special helmet with an impressive topknot to signify a Sergeant or character. Match your MkII Torsos with a set of 10 resin Crusade-era shoulder pads – great for elite units and giving your important characters a dash of veteran flair.

This upgrade kit can be used to customise Legionaries with shoulder pads bearing the draconic heraldry of the Salamanders Legion. The kit includes 10 shoulder pads, each bearing a raised, sculpted icon that makes them simple to paint in the Legion’s signature colours, with a studded rim design appropriate to MKII ‘Crusade Armour’. Spread these components around your army and combine them with transfers to capture that signature XVIII Legion aesthetic, or outfit entire squads for an elite, unified look. Word Bearers MKII Shoulder Pads: January 6th, 2022 Artificer Armour: A common upgrade on most (if not all) infantry units for space marine sergeants/unit leaders is artificer armour. It’s just about always 10 points and gives that model a 2+ armour save instead of the 3+ armour save most of the unit will have. This is basically an automatic upgrade. It means you can choose to tank higher AP weapons on a 2+ save instead of taking lots of 3+ and in duels are more likely to get an armour save against many weapons (assuming your opponent doesn’t roll their rending/breaching). It’s a small cost for what could be a lot of durability. That said you want to be careful about choosing to take so many saves on your unit leader; unless joined by another character many space marine units have a low Leadership characterstic – only 7 or 8, while the sergeant’s will be higher. Taking that wound and losing the higher point of Ld leaves your unit far more vulnerable to things like Pinning and Morale. If another character has joined the unit, especially a high profile one like a Praetor or Consul, then you can try and tank as many wounds as possible on that 2+ until you fail it, and potentially save numerous marines because of it. Or you roll a 1 on the first roll. Either can happen.

The last batch of Contemptor Dreadnought torsos are on the way. They are designed to work with the new plastic Contemptor Dreadnought kit, to give your death-dealing walkers a dash of Legion flair. There are two full Kill Teams in the box. The Chaos Cult weighs in at 23 previously available miniatures, including the Dark Commune and a glut of Chaos Cultists. These lesser devotees can mutate mid-battle, exploding in a mess of flesh and bone as they become vile Mutants and horrifying Torments. This upgrade kit comprises 10 resin components and is designed to be assembled with the MKVI Tactical Squad set, which is sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints. Salamanders MKVI Shoulder Pads: January 6th, 2022Finally, Scatter dice and a range of templates to represent the devastating effects of the biggest weapons in the 31st Millennium are also being released – there’s a set of three smaller templates for flamers and explosive blasts, as well as a massive Hellstorm template and an Apocalyptic Barrage marker. When a bolter and chainsword won’t do the business, the Tactical Squads of the Legiones Astartes turn to special weapons, forming Legion Tactical Support Squads. With six varieties to choose from in this comprehensive set of upgrades, no battlefield conundrum will go unanswered. This set contains 10 weapons each of six types – flamers, plasma guns, meltaguns, rotor cannons, volkite chargers, and volkite calivers. They’re designed to fit seamlessly onto the Mk VI Tactical Squad, with hands moulded onto the guns to fit your Space Marines’ arms. Legiones Astartes Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set (Missile Launchers and Heavy Bolters) Well, the answer is that it depends. Generally speaking, the Mk VI modes are chunkier and lankier than the older plastic Mk III and Mk IV models (i.e. the Prospero and Calth marines), but this is most prominent on the “walking” Mk. VI marine, who stands substantially taller in a similar fashion to how the Deathwatch marines are taller than the older squatting tactical marines. The “walking” Mk VI vs the older plastic marks An earlier version of this article mistakenly announced that an episode of Hang Out & Paint would be broadcast on the Warhammer Twitch channel this Friday. In fact, the show will be going on hiatus until some point in June, when it’ll return to celebrate the launch of Warhammer 40,000 Leviathan in style. Watch this space for more info! When the Adeptus Astartes fight, they employ a set of combat doctrines to eliminate the enemy. After pounding the foe with heavy weapons, warriors advance to lay down a hail of bolter fire before charging forth with chainswords roaring to finish the foe.If every unit from your army has the ADEPTUS ASTARTES keyword (excluding AGENT OF THE IMPERIUM and UNALIGNED units), this unit gains a bonus (see below) depending on which Combat Doctrine is active for your army. During the first battle round, the Devastator Doctrine is active for your army. From the second battle round onwards, at the start of the battle round, you can change which Combat Doctrine is active for your army, as follows:

The Inquisitorial Agents Kill Team comprises seven new models, five of which can be built in two completely different ways – including an Interrogator, Questkeeper, Death World Veteran, Gun Servitor and more. Five Tempestus Scions and five Sisters of Silence provide Ancillary Support options to help them rat out the cult, with a transfer sheet for the latter. As the Night Haunter undoubtedly said more than once, release the bats! You’ll go bats in the belfry with this set of 11 resin heads for your MKVI Space Marines, 10 of whom sport skeletal beaks, with one additional bare head (high, tight, and debonair!) Night Lords MKVI Shoulder Pads: November 25th, 2022

There are 40 miniatures, 23 for the Chaos Cult, and 17 assorted Inquisitorial Agents. Seven of these are brand-new dual-build miniatures that allow you to build a rag-tag band of hyper-talented weirdos. The set also contains the Ashes of Faith Campaign Rulebook with all the rules for playing out this planet-spanning narrative, and dozens of accessories.

Like all the other sets, they keep that classic feel while upgrading them into the new edition. Sons of Horus Resin Upgrade Kits

One thing to think about for both the scout and recon squads are the ability to infiltrate or outflank with some melta bombs to sneakily take out heavy enemy vehicles.
