Despite going through the wash after a very muddy walk, my son's white runners still looked pretty grubby.

It is a mildly abrasive cream cleaner that can be used to remove stains, grease and grime leaving surfaces shining like new. It’s made by Star Brands, a British company, which promises the product is made with 100 per cent natural cleaning particles. How to use The Pink Stuff? Before testing The Pink Stuff we went about the messy business of creating stains to use the product on. We used coffee, tea, grease and tomato sauce to stain a stainless-steel sink over the course of 12 hours. We also heated up milk and sugar to stain a hob and then allowed milk to burn in a dish for further staining. I've been hiding this pan at the bottom of my cupboard for years, ashamed of the disgusting state it's in but in no way prepared to throw it out. Has the extractor fan above your hob gone greasy and yellow? Give it a scrub with the Pink Stuff to get rid of the unsightly stains.

Grease and grime is no match for The Pink Stuff

The Pink Stuff carries a warning on the pot saying not to use on plastic or acrylic surfaces, however I would add I have used it on a uPVC door to get rid of scuff marks and it’s been great. If you happen to have a boat, use The Pink Stuff to get rid of marks, stains and any other gunk. 26. Bins

Not only will it get rid of any marks on the door, but you’ll notice it will whiten the door so it looks like new again. 14. Tiles To determine whether The Pink Stuff is as miraculous as its fans – and marketing teams – say it is, we've put the product to the test on a pair of grubby white vinyl runners, an old burnt pan, a white ceramic sink and the stained glass on an oven door. Overall, however, this is an effective multi-purpose cleaner that scored 81/100 and works well on a range of hard surfaces, taking serious stains in its stride. Can you use The Pink Stuff on ovens?Do you have a stainless steel bin? Use The Pink Stuff to get rid of any rust, food stains, grime and water marks. Buff it with a dry cloth once you have wiped away The Pink Stuff to leave it shining like new. Where can you buy The Pink Stuff? You can use The Pink Stuff to clean the inside and outside window sills of your home. It will get rid of any dirt, scuff marks or grime. Remember to do the uPVC window frames too! 17. Shower glass The Pink Stuff Cleaning Miracle Paste does an adequate job for light-to-medium cleans, such as running shoes and sinks, but it's not 'miraculous' in its removal of heavier stains on ovens or pots and pans. Although, The Pink Stuff did outperform bicarb soda and water for light cleaning. Use The Pink Stuff all over the glass with a cloth then rinse away. It will lift away limescale and soapy scum. 18. Shower plugholes I have used The Pink Stuff to clean my old white trainers (I would always test on a small patch before doing this) but I would not use the paste on other clothing.

The Pink Stuff is worth the hype. It performed brilliantly, removing dirt and marks from all of the surfaces we tried it out on. Despite being a little more messy than your average stain-removal spray, this product was also easy to apply, just as the instructions suggest. You probably won't need it for day-to-day cleaning, but it's a cleaner you'll definitely want around when a stain strikes. Touted as an all-round cream cleaner on an array of common household surfaces, The Pink Stuff is a mild abrasive that is supposedly "gentle on surfaces but tough on stains". Scrub until the stains or marks have gone. Rinse away the Pink Stuff using a damp cloth and then buff to a shine with a dry cloth, such as this one from eCloth. To test the product's bathroom cleaning capabilities, we smeared a glass shower door with shampoo and shower gel, then left it to dry over 24 hours. We also filled a bath with baby oil and bubbles. When it came to flooring, we stained ceramic tiles and grouting with tomato sauce and cooking oil overnight. One of the best places to use The Pink Stuff is in the oven. Because the cream is mildly abrasive, it does a lot of the hard work for you when it comes to getting rid of grease, burnt on food and grime. On opening the lid of the small tub of The Pink Stuff, I was pleasantly surprised by its mild floral scent – there was no harsh cleaning product smell, which was definitely a plus. The paste was also simple to apply, I experienced no skin irritation while using it (although, I was wearing kitchen gloves) and, being pink, it was easy to identify when cleaning off the residue. Whitening muddy runners The unit has two sinks, both with identical areas of concern. On the left-hand side sink, I applied my homemade bicarb paste and on the right-hand side sink, I applied The Pink Stuff. For both, I used a soft cloth and rinsed the paste residue off with a clean, wet tea towel. After a while toasters can lose their shine and get rust or other stains. Polish it up with some Pink Stuff and then buff it to a shine with a dry cloth. Don’t forget to unplug it first! 10. Kettle The Pink Stuff is tough on food stains. Simply rub at the marks inside your microwave and they will come off in no time. It’s also great for shining up the outside of the door. 5. Kitchen sink

The brilliant thing about this miracle cream is you can use The Pink Stuff to clean pretty much everything in your home! Get a tiny bit of The Pink Stuff onto a damp cloth and gently rub the stains away. Don’t rub too hard as you don’t want to remove the actual paint. 16. Window sills If your bathroom extractor fan is looking grimey, you can also use The Pink Stuff to polish it. 4. Microwave

Use The Pink Stuff to lift it away and you can also use it to shine the bathroom sinks and plughole too. 19. Taps and shower head
