(Source: ScreenRant) Creed III runs out of steam for the third round but puts up a good fight on Blu-ray. This will not be the very top in reference material, but there are no serious flaws with the transfer.

Info

Creed III was shot on various cameras including the Arriflex 35 IIC, RED Komodo, Red V-Raptor IMAX, and Sony CineAlta Venice IMAX in IMAX, Redcode RAW (6K, 8K), Super 35 (some shots), and X-OCN ST(6K). A 4K digital intermediate is utilized and the film is color coded with Dolby Vision HDR. It is announced that Michael B. Jordan will both star and make his directorial debut with Creed III. The trailer also gives a glimpse of Drago, leading to speculation he might be training Adonis this time around. ( Source: YouTube) Well, for one, Jordan and Majors will fight in a boxing ring — a sweaty spectacle that’ll be enough to get most people’s butts in seats. In an interview with Men’s Health, Majors hinted at his character’s past being linked to his own trauma. “There are certain reasons you build your body,” he told the magazine. “Dame’s body was built from loss. He had lost something, and that hole is what made him work the way he worked. When you see Dame’s body, you go, Oh, that makes sense. You don’t look like that and be happy with life.” Jonathan Majors was confirmed as playing a large role as the primary antagonist. (Source: Collider)

Beyond the film’s thematic elements, the relationship between Adonis and Bianca begins to evolve. “I feel like there’s a time where adults, people in a relationship, have to make choices,” Jordan began his thought experiment that felt like an indirect comment on his former relationship with Lori Harvey. “How do you compromise? Where’s the middle ground, you know? How do two people who are successful by themselves be successful together? … What does that look like? Who’s carrying the weight within a relationship?” In earlier comments about the lead couple’s evolution, he admitted he could relate to Adonis: “I think it was a reflection of kind of where I was in my life, you know, professionally, personally.” 👀 Creed III be released? With Creed III and Michael B. Jordan behind the camera, there were a few beginner issues, but overall, this was a breath of fresh air with some great tonal shifts in the storyline that make Creed III a good watch. The movie begins with a win for Adonis but then cuts several years into the future where Adonis has turned into his father in the way that he now wears a suit and is running his businesses rather than wearing the trunks and boxing gloves. His wife Tessa (Bianca Taylor) has enjoyed a very successful music career and their young daughter has total hearing loss, but that doesn't stop her from wanting to follow in her father's footsteps. One of the issues here is that the logistics and time don't always add up in their own narrative. Creed III suffers from the same elements where one scene to the next might fast forward months or longer without any smooth transition. Again, these are rookie mistakes, especially from someone who is playing both filmmaker and leading star duties at the same time. Michael B. It's definitely worth re-watching the epic journey that Adonis "Donnie" Creed has taken to lead up to Creed III. Here's what you need to know about the previous films and where you can watch them before you catch the latest addition: Jonathan Majors is confirmed to be playing a leading role in Creed III as the primary antagonist. There’s a more realistic look and feel to this one as the cameras bob and weave inside the ring to give the viewer a more realistic “feel.” Warner’s 2.39:1 HEVC 4K image look stunning and when compared to its Blu-ray counterpart, makes it a no-brainer to go for the 4K version. Darkness prevails in a majority of the scenes and having never been to a boxing match, only have to go what I’ve seen from the films. Creed III, of course, is a new to the format film and takes advantage of the increased resolution and HDR that the 4K image offers. Detail, colors and contrast all looked great to me. It’s not a perfect transfer, but with a fast-moving film like this, any faults I encountered were a thing of the past soon thereafter. Audio: How’s it sound?
