Ending C: Like Ending B, the story will begin late in the plot. To achieve this ending, it is only necessary to complete A, and B and get the “Weapons Collector” trophy that is obtained by getting 100% of the weapons in the video game. Fulfilling this requirement, at the end of the plot an election will be presented that will decide the future of the main characters.

Description: The old fisherman will teach you some techniques if you can catch ten sardines. Walkthrough: Fish from either beach at Seafront. Use lugworms as bait. If you have any trouble, consult the fishing section of this FAQ. Your floating book companion, Grimoire Weiss, is interesting, and his interactions with others is often quite funny Fool's Embrace, Fool's Lament, and Fool's Accord has since been added to the total weapon count in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.... All three can be obtained by clearing the third level in all doors of the diary found in Nier's house, accessible after viewing Ending A. There'll be a lot more enemies out in the desert this time around, so be careful. You can now venture into the sandstorm, should you choose to do so. When you're done dinking around, make for the Eastern Road. The Eastern Road Ending E is a continuation of ending D, which can be activated after starting a new game and playing up until the second fight with Hook when Nier tries to wake up Kainé. In "Ending E" (told in both Grimoire Nier and NieR Replicant ver.1.22), three years after the Shadowlord disappeared, a program to reset the entire Replicant system begins its execution in the Forest of Myth, and Kainé goes to destroy it, alongside Emil, now with a reconstructed body including four arms. Eventually they go deeper into the tree where Sleeping Beauty resides, eventually finding themselves in a place reminiscent of The Tower, and Kainé has to defeat a recreated version of Hook with the help of Grimoire Weiss. Kainé recovers the person she cherishes, which allows the save file the player got ending D on to be restored. Afterwards, a giant flower reminiscent of a Lunar Tear blooms in the Forest of Myth, as the forgotten Nier is reunited with Kainé and Emil, the approximate age as when they first met (16 for Brother Nier, 39 for Father Nier), reconstructed with the “memories” that the tree had of his first visit to the Forest of Myth.A sequel to the original game was – against all odds – published in 2017 under the title NieR: Automata and became a massive hit. It was a sequel to NieR but set so far into the future that it was almost a standalone game. A mobile game titled NieR Re[in]carnation was also published in 2021 and is set in the same universe, but the chronology and the relation to the main games remain quite unclear. The story and how it all connects is so intriguing that it isn’t hard to be glued to this game during its 17 to 20 hour length dependent on whether or not you care to see other endings of other characters…

When you first visit the Haunted Manor, you are beginning the very end of the first part of the game, so if there are any side quests you do not want to miss out on in the first half of the game, complete them before visiting the Haunted Manor.

There are two other companions besides your book, and while both are overall likeable, they each have numerous cringe worthy moments as either bad voice acting or writing leads to very forced moments that destroy the immersionSome of the most god awful NPC dialogue I have ever heard. The stuff people shout out when you are walking down the street varies from laughably bad to unbearable
