Description

This was interesting. When I read the synopsis I was like "mmm, abusive dad, got it. Wait... cancer too? That seems a little bit much." And that's what it was. Too much. The author's prologue suggests that the book is mostly about the cancer, but that's not the case at all. And while Wilson did the abusive dad stuff well, the cancer stuff was not as good. It seemed like an add on, sort of an excuse to get Auntie Barbara into the picture. Highly recommended for 2 to 6 year olds who are older siblings, and some older children too. This is designed as a read aloud book but will also be enjoyed by young independent readers. I found this to be an incredible book. It exposes horrors, that occurred, but also is filled with love and remarkable resilience.

Officer: Sir, you're not allowed to operate a vehicle without a driver's license. Please step out of the car or I'm gonna have it towed. Before Daffy asks Bugs "What is the speed limit in a residential area?", he's the only person at the testing station. After Bugs refuses to help Daffy cheat, an old lady is seen taking the test who wasn't there before. Big Bird is excited when Susan and Gordon Robinson from Sesame Street adopt a baby. Gordon explains adoption in simple terms as, “one of the ways a baby comes into a family.” Big Bird has big plans for baby Miles, just as any older sibling might. But when Miles arrives, Big Bird feels like he’s in the way. He does wind up being very helpful. After all, this is Sesame Street. You can also watch the adoption episode of Sesame Street. If you're expecting to have a second baby, this would be a cute story to read to the first one. Lola is a soon-to-be big sister of Leo. He is born part way through the story and the family has to change their routine to comfort him. Throughout this story, Lola reads to Leo; a different type of story for each occasion. It's a sweet way to role model how an older sibling should behave. It even gently reminds the parents to not be too busy for their eldest child. Lola said that it's too hard for her to read, But she has no problem reading Lincoln's coffee note that says "World's Best Dad!" in " Ties That Bind". Lola is a beloved character that continues to shine for young readers. Her curiosity and love of books is infectious. Parents and children love sharing Lola’s stories. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. With your feet planted comfortably and firmly on the ground, gently close your eyes. Feel the earth beneath your heels, toes and pads of your feet. Clear your mind of all thoughts but love and joy.

Getting bigger is doubly hard for identical twin sisters. They once shared everything: clothes, toys, a bed, and even mommy’s belly. But now that they’re 5, they’ve outgrown their bed and colorful striped blanket. Humorous illustrations change along with the girls as they learn to celebrate their individuality — one chooses yellow fabric for a new blanket, while the other chooses pink. Like the piece of the old blanket that their mom sews into the new ones, they also learn that they’ll always be there for each other. Honestly could be my favorite book I’ve read this year. I haven’t felt real feelings from a book in a while 🥺🥺🥺 HIGHLY recommend especially if you like epic novels/historical fiction. The Looney Tunes Show head writer Hugh Davidson is from San Antonio (the city where Manu Ginobili spent his basketball career) and his favorite player was Ginobili.I can say no more as I said I can’t praise the read enough, please don’t miss it it’s more than wonderful and deserves more than the 5 stars I can give. A story like Dikembe's is heavy and powerful, but the writing was incongruent with the subject matter and made the story come across as a light and fluffy beach read when it should have been anything but. There was a lot of repetition, the dialogue sounded unrealistic, and the depictions of abuse read as caricatures.

The roots of reading, along with matters of love and life, are happily married in this bright, uplifting, outstanding and important offering. It will speak loudly to readers well beyond the age of 2. – School Library Journal I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and William Morrow and Company and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.Overall, this was just a really great thriller/historical fiction/lit-fic hybrid and I'm SO glad I randomly took a chance on it. I hope the author writes another book very, very soon!
