Our printed bunting starts at one 10 metre length so if you would like a length of bunting for a special occasion such as a birthday, street party or baby shower, then get in touch. The bird's call is like a tzii or tzee. It sound very "metallic" and it is a very short and not exactly a song at all. It nests on trees or on the ground and lays about four to five eggs. It breeds in southern Siberia across to northern China. It is migratory, wintering in north-east India, southern China and northern south-east Asia. It is a very rare vagrant to western Europe. [3] The genus name Emberiza is from Old German Embritz, a bunting. The specific spodocephala is from Ancient Greek spodos, "ashes", and kephalos, "headed". [2] Rustic buntings are another species with an extensive range. They range from western Europe to eastern Russia and as far south as China. This migratory bird breeds in the Palearctic and winters in southeast Asia. They inhabit wet coniferous forests, deciduous woodlands, streamsides, and bogs. Adults have white undersides, reddish-brown flanks, and pink legs. Females are heavily streaked with brown faces. Listen for their melancholy tunes and watch as they forage for seeds.
