Rowan Seymour of DCPA said: "It has taken a lot of hard work to get us where we are today, keeping momentum going through the pandemic and raising the funds to ensure that Spinning the Moon can finally go ahead. But this is what Dorchester does! Annie grunted in her sleep, and I shifted around in Michael’s arms. “Can you hold that thought until later?” The line around which something spins is called an axis. The Earth's axis is tilted at an angle. The Earth’s tilt is the reason for the changing seasons. As well as the launch on Saturday, there is a workshop for beginners on Sunday, November 3 at Dorchester Corn Exchange between 2-4pm, and the casting weekend will run from Friday November 29 to Saturday, December 1.

Karen’s roots run deep in the South where many of her novels are set. Her intricate plot lines and compelling characters charm and captivate readers with just the right mix of family drama, mystery, intrigue and romance. As I placed her on the changing table to dress her, Michael came in to give Annie her good-morning kiss. “Maybe we should get your mother to babysit Annie tonight. I mean, she’ll probably sleep through the whole thing, anyway.” In "Whispers of Goodbye", a devastated widow and grieving mother, left alone and destitute by the Civil War, receives an urgent letter from her sister, who she hasn't seen in years. Elizabeth begs Cat to rush to her aid, telling her she is very afraid. Cat heads to her grandmother's old home in the swamps, where her sister is nowhere to be found. Who can she trust, and can she trust her heart to learn to let love in again? Or will she, in her desperation to protect herself, make things worse? Time and again, New York Times bestselling author Karen White has proven herself to be the “ultimate voice of women’s fiction.”* Spring is when the northern hemisphere begins to tilt towards the Sun. Longer days with stronger sunlight make the weather warmer and brighter. This helps plants to grow.I finished snapping up the bottom of Annie’s one-piece outfit and lifted her. “Oh, Michael-I thought it would be so much fun with the three of us. My dad used to take me when I was her age, and I remember watching the sky with him. It’s such a magical thing.”

The sound made me grimace. Reluctantly, I threw off the sheets. “It was nice while it lasted,” I said as I slipped out of bed and into my robe. I leaned down to give Michael a kiss and then hurried to the nursery, where I was being summoned in a tone approaching hysteria. Karen’s latest novel, Dreams of Falling, was published in June, 2018 by Berkley Publishing, a division of Penguin Random House Publishing Group. The Outlander inspo was definitely obvious, but I didn’t mind. The time traveling aspect was actually handled very well and I really enjoyed the Civil War setting. Some of the drama felt a bit forced and silly because it all could’ve been avoided with one honest conversation, but then the more adventurous parts of the book wouldn’t of happened and that’d be no good either. I mostly just wish the romance had a bit more trust and chemistry, but I was still invested enough to enjoy it.Rowan added: “I have been in several of Dorchester’s community plays with my family and they have changed our lives. The Sun is a star, a giant ball of burning gas. The heat and light that it gives off helps to keep everything on our planet alive. When we see the Sun moving across the sky during the day it’s because the Earth is spinning, not the Sun.

Summer is when the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun - this gives us longer days and means the Sun's rays are more direct, stronger and warmer. I sighed, enjoying the caress of goose bumps as they traveled down my spine. “Michael, not here. Someone might see.” I made no move to step away. The "far side" of the Moon looks very different than the near side (see the first photo in this article). Notice how few dark areas the far side has. Moon in Motion: Phases, Patterns, and More

The Earth spins three hundred and sixty five times in one year. That’s why we have three hundred and sixty five days in a year. After summer it starts tilting away from the Sun again. The days get shorter and colder as we move into Autumn. I loved the first fiction story about time travel and how it can be related to history with ties to certain events. White does an excellent job creating linking them together in a believable way. The novel succeeded in evoking a very Gothic feel, but the pacing was excruciatingly slow, the characterizations wavered and didn't always ring true, and the only plot element I didn't guess WELL in advance was Rebecca's true parentage. 2 stars is probably too generous, but the setting/tone were well done, and the narrator did an excellent job under the circumstances. Spinning the Moon is at Thomas Hardye Theatre, Tuesday to Thursday April 4-6 at 7.30pm, Saturday, April 8 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and Monday to Saturday April 10-15 at 7.30pm.
