With classics such as Ted Hughes's The Iron Man and award-winners including Emma Carroll's Letters from the Lighthouse, Faber Children's Books brings you the best in picture books, young reads and classics. Jürgen is widely considered football’s best manager and is admired for his leadership style, which champions hard work, compassion and, above all, team spirit!

This book encapsulates this really nicely and if you support Liverpool you should definitely read it, it will make you smile and laugh along throughout. A book published in Germany in 2011 Echte Liebe ( Real Love) brought Klopp’s achievements with Borussia Dortmund into some kind of focus, but landed between back-to-back Bundesliga titles. Ein richtiger Fan geht mit seinem Verein durch alle Höhen und Tiefen – Anthony Quinn hat mit dem FC Liverpool schon so einiges erlebt. In the late 1950s the Reds were languishing in the Second Division until Bill Shankley took over and turned them into Champions and FA Cup winners. He has taken Liverpool back to the top of European football by winning the 2019 UEFA Champions League final and also led them to a club record Premier League points total. the opening five chapters is where this story really shines offering a window into Klopps early life and hihglighting his most important influences.

Although Dortmund were at a low ebb, they are still a massive German team, and the underdog story was taken a bit too far for a club of Dortmund's resources. Perhaps only then will we be able to gain the full measure of Klopp the man, rather than just the enigma.More coverage is given to the tactical changes during his playing career than during his management career, and there is too much of an emphasis on his team's results, rather than his role as manager - with the notable exception of his touchline antics. will be a fascinating year as to whether Liverpool can regain their oomph as neither Mainz nor Dortmund managed it after losing their mojo. If a not so football addict like me can learn a thing or two, football maniacs especially Liverpool fans should read this book.

He's charismatic, charming, a master tactician and his unrivalled passion for his team and the game has made him one of football's most beloved personalities. This book provides plenty of evidence that Klopp has had his fair share of disappointing spells, but one thing I did learn is that Klopp fosters a familial atmosphere that makes short-term results less important, which offers an explanation why. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. With rewritten text for older children, the treasuries each bring together a multitude of dreamers in a single volume.I think people enjoy such books, when they are interested in the person that they are reading about. while this book succeds in capturing the persona of the big german, it fails in many other respects. I saw Quinn talking about writing in football at a literary festival recently(alongside an impressive Pat Nevin), and I enjoyed the Rescue Man, and alongside our common desire, I had to read this. He has taken Liverpool back to the top of European football by winning the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final and his team won the Premier League in 2020. However, the author has a distant relationship with Klopp and has not interviewed either the man himself or his players, and only very few of his colleagues.

This powerful book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the footballer’s life. Really enjoyed this book, which captures both the essence of supporting Liverpool and of Jürgen as a man and manager. Klopp has an easy turn of phrase and a disarming eloquence, with Neveling pulling quotes from various sources. This was a good read as I got to learn about Klopp's history, his time at Mainz as a player and coach. Klopps immense personality and capacity to encapsulate the full breadth of the human experience makes him a suitable muse for such a piece of writing.

From Nobel Laureates Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter to theatre greats Tom Stoppard and Alan Bennett to rising stars Polly Stenham and Florian Zeller, Faber Drama presents the very best theatre has to offer.
