The Freddy Files Description: "Charlotte's childhood friend and crush. He is a writer and a keen observer of the world around him. He cares deeply about Charlotte, always offering her support no matter how difficult or dangerous the situation. John is wise for his age, and he can be often be quite sarcastic." According to Michael Afton's speech at the end of Sister Location's Custom Night, those minigames occur after the first night, as William Afton was around prior to night 1, but was missing after night 5. Because the Funtimes are using the scooper to escape, and it's usage during gameplay is not done by Afton, this provides the issue of how he got it into the Funtimes to begin with.

William fears one thing and one thing only, and that is death. While in his weakened state in The Fourth Closet, he expresses that he is afraid of thinking about how his time is running out, and how he’d die if his goal of transporting his soul into a robot isn't achieved. He also mentions how he would rather live eternally in the state he is in than pass on. Andrew makes a brief mention in Into the Pit, gaining a passing mention when Oswald notices six bodies lined up.

The real Charlotte Emily was the one murdered by William Afton, not Sammy. Henry, after finding out his daughter's death, sent him into an insane depression. He cried, bled and sweat so much into the ragdoll that used to belong to Charlie for months, which created the "spark of life", the doll became sentient. The ragdoll is powered by Henry's emotional energy, unintentionally due to him grieving so much into the doll. Henry then began to recreate Charlotte as a robot, recreating her stages of life (toddler, child, teen, adult). He based the robots on the ragdoll, which looked like Ella. He then also began creating false memories for her, using a camera tripod. The robot copies of Charlotte are powered by the Ella ragdoll, which gave the robots life. The robot copies of Charlotte Emily are unaware of the original Charlie’s death, assuming that the one murdered was Sammy. Sometime before the events of Fetch, William remains anchored to Andrew without his knowledge for a long time, up until the point where Andrew possessed an animatronic dog named Fetch. This dog eventually ended up in the possession of Phineas Taggart, a scientist who studied human emotion and its power. One day, the broken-down Fetch animatronic, a three-foot-tall doll and an animatronic endoskeleton were used in Phineas' experiments, the three objects put together to form a being that had agony soaked in from several other miscellaneous objects from his collection. This being comes to life and kills the doctor. Sometime between the stories, Andrew gets a hold of various Fazbear-related animatronics. The animatronics were corrupted, gaining unique abilities alongside a thirst for blood. The animatronics include Foxy, Ella and The Plushtrap Chaser. Charlie offers to let Dave explore the restaurant with them, and he accepts. Inside, the friends play with the control panel, and while they are distracted Dave retrieves a Spring Bonnie costume from a closet and abducts Carlton, which Jason witnesses. The friends flee the restaurant and fetch Police Officer Dunn, only to find that the restaurant's door has been chained up while they were gone. Although it was released to resounding success, Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes drew criticism from fans, as they did not see connections between the novel and the video game franchise. [14] Therefore, as fans had claims of the book's lore conflicting with that of the games' lore, Cawthon replied that:

Similar to Cassidy in the games series, Andrew is shown to be a being of pure rage, choosing to keep William alive for the sole purpose of tormenting him, while targeting his rage on anyone who attempts to stop him. This extends further, leading to him infecting many Animatronics, Toys, and Costumes with his rage.In The Fourth Closet, Elizabeth reveals during their confrontation that Charlie is a completely separate entity from the original Charlie that was kidnapped and killed by Afton at three years old. Rather, she is alive due to the "spark of life" created by the intense agony that Henry poured into the original Ella doll as he mourned the loss of his daughter. This appears to tie in with what is later explained about Agony in Fazbear Frights, in which it is discovered by Phineas Taggart that inanimate objects can become 'haunted' when in the presence of a high concentration of emotional energy. These objects are not haunted by the souls of dead humans; rather the intense emotional energy results in a 'spark of life' that creates a new consciousness. As demonstrated by Charlie, this new spirit appears to be fully capable of thinking, learning and maturing identically to a human if it is raised as one. The Freddy Files Description: "Carlton is a goofy and fun-loving teenage boy who likes to create stories and comedy routines. Conveniently, this all helps to hide how much the troubling events of his childhood affected him." Even if the souls were in the Funtimes, another problem lies in the fact that they couldn't have been in Molten Freddy, as the character encyclopedia confirmed that they were set free prior to the events of the sixth game.
