Description

The brown power for the hermit thrush says…players with the fewest forest birds gain 1 food from bird feeder. What do you do if there is a tie?”

If you were to “play with Oceania, without nectar”, typically you would remove the birds (such as Rainbow Lorikeet) that have nectar in their cost and/or nectar related powers. If you “eliminate” nectar in this way, you can play with either the old board or the new board. Many players prefer the new board because it allows you to get started faster, and it balances the eggs differently, but that’s your call. You’re only 34.8% likely to get all 3 points, but that’s better odds × points than any existing bird, including an auto-cache bird. This is a bird that is going to be very frustrating. Because the odds say it’s best to roll all three, but it’s not going to work out for you most of the time. I’m still going to stop once I have 1 [successful cache]. Can you tell which food tokens came with Wingspan Asia and which ones didn’t? Don’t be coy about Nectar! I have never had something go wrong with the original cardboard version of the game. (OK, sometimes I draw a starting set of cards that I don’t like, but that doesn’t count.) I think that Wingspan Asia is a core set in spirit, even if Stonemaier Games doesn’t want to call it that. You don’t actually need core Wingspan to play it (a feature of a new core set), but it also expands what core Wingspan can do, and you actually need it to play certain ways (a feature of an expansion). This bird is not only an efficient and flexible point bomb, but it also grants card advantage! Dropping a seven-point bird that also gives you three cards is amazing! The final action is the draw cards ability. We do need to get those birdies in hand to be able to play them! As you build up your engine with bird cards you will be adding powers which as you take each action you will be able to activate every card in the row. If you choose to use this power, do you move you action cube with the card and continue to the left in its new habitat? Or do you leave the cube and continue to the left in its original one? Habitats are on your player board. Each habitat is linked to an action; take food, lay eggs (the birds not you), or draw more bird cards into your hand. Once you take those actions, you move along the birds in that habitat from right to left and activate any brown powers.

It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! I just heard about the form to submit new birds for future ideas/expansions on Jamey’s webcast yesterday and rushed to submit my all-time favorite bird! Such a fantastic idea! When bird powers refer to a specific food type, nectar is not a wild food. If a bird’s power looks for mice in the birdfeeder, for example, do not also count the nectar there.Could the bottom layer hold the plastic trays vertically (i.e. on their long edge)? You mentioned, I think, that it is okay if the box gets taller. Standing the plastic trays on their long edges would get you many more cards in that bottom layer. piece custom tray (now made of eco-friendly sugarcane–it’s white instead of the purple shown in older photos and videos) I love Wingspan and am more of a birder than boarder. In my early and relatively active 70″s, I believe Wingspan helps keep my brain exercised as I’m playing–both creating and interacting with the lay of the land (or habitats) generally. My wife bought Wingspan for Christmas. Immediately all of the family got hooked and now we all love the game. Bought the European exp yesterday as well. Question 2: Australian owlet Nightjar…one of those ‘between turns’ powers. He had started his turn and then remembered I had gotten food…does he get food when I finish my play or when he ‘remembers the power?

Thank you Elizabeth and the stonemaier team! After spotting the wingspan game for the first time in a game shop in the seaside town of Bridlington – UK 2022 we decided to get it for Christmas. We always play games as a family and are big bird lovers too so this was ideal and as a family we have decided that it’s the best game we have ever played! Round categories: we have created extras since we play often. It’s been fun trying them out to see what works. Certainly you guys have tons of ideas for these on the future expansions. Pros – Great artwork, new birds, new powers, new bonus cards, able to play w/ 6-7 players now, and the new duet 1v1 mechanic. I’m almost exclusively a 1v1 player, so definitely excited to try out the duet mode. Seems like it will make playing birds more fun. I could go on and on about the great things to look forward to, but since most of the comments online already highlight these things, I digress to the “negative nancy” cons that I haven’t seen as much. Azure Tit is a classic food-gaining bird. Its power is flexible, and it’s well worth the two food cost. This is a great early game Forest bird. A four-egg nest is just a bonus. I personally don’t play with the Automa that often, and when I do, it’s through the digital adaption of the game by Monster Couch. If I do get some play time with Wingspan Asia’s Automa, I will update this review accordingly. Why Wasn’t Wingspan Asia Just More Cards?a lot of customers have asked me if the Swedish versions can be combined with the English editions?” The only information we’ve said is that Elizabeth is starting to work on an expansion, and most likely that means the earliest it would release is sometime in 2025. I’m sorry about the missing eggs, Travis! If you fill out our replacement parts request form and mention which color of egg you’re missing, we can ship those to you.
