The pacing of the novel is impeccable, pulling us along the rollercoaster ride of emotions. From the highs of newfound hope to the lows of heartache and regret, "Sweet Regret" keeps us hooked until the final crescendo. Besides those two gross moments, I loved the book, the writing was easy to read and I loved Bristol and jagger, and her mom!! Gosh I loved her so much. The angst is strong in this one for sure, so be prepared. But, it was good, productive angst, ya know? Both of them have so much to handle, but the love is there. Gah just thinking about the story has me tearing up a bit! They are not perfect people, and their lives have been messy and ugly. That is all part of what makes their story beautiful though. While sometimes their past decisions were frustrating, it was realistic. Life is messy. And then they get another chance, a second chance, but that doesn’t work out either, heart wrenching as it was, it still wasn’t meant to be in that moment of time. During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read.

He’s in my room in a second. When his feet land on the floor, it sounds like a herd of elephants in my head, and I’m more than certain my parents will be rushing in here at any second. I hope this isn’t spoilery, but if it is, I apologize. The real story is not that they do or don’t break up before the end, because as romance lovers, most of us expect it (but I prefer a wobble to a break-up). What makes this book so good is how they work through their stuff separately and together and it becomes their forever last time together. It was very touching and low-key in such a lovely way I haven’t ever read before. The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions: This book turned up the angst-o-meter a bit, but I never felt that crushing sense of foreboding that I do with most angsty books. I absolutely adore that Bristol and Vince did all their breaking up in the first part of the book and came to realize how much they were willing to trust each other as they worked through the end. But there’s something more to this kiss and the faint taste of beer on his tongue, and it takes me a few seconds to recognize it.
