Description

For the Necron Warriors I went with a really simple scheme that can be easily replicated across a large number of models. Metal bodies, Red chests/shoulders/helmets. It’s roughly a 9-to-12 step process. Basecoat and highlightsOnce the hairspray is dry, you’re free to start applying your base coats and highlights. Since this is a 30k-scheme Death Guard Plagueburst Crawler, I’ll be using Menoth White and Menoth White Highlight, which are amazing go-to colors for any sort of cream, bone, or warm white in your life. This is an anthology book, with loose connected or totally independent novellas. So, each story is a chapter and it features a different adventure with different supporting characters and different villains. The next image shows the first highlight of Pink Horror, and the second finer edge highlight of Emperor’s Children.

Felix and Gotrek were the unsung heroes of the Empire. Or, they were nothing more than any common murderers or thieves. The truth lied somewhere right in between and it is all dependent on whom you would ask. After escaping the authorities, Felix has sworn a drunken oath to dwarf Gotrek. It was meant to record his entire death saga. Right within the cold light of the day, the worst fears Felix got confirmed just as he came to learn that Gotrek was a Trollslayer. He was a dwarf doomed to look out for a heroic death in the war to atone for some indefinite personal disgrace. [Trollslayer Audiobook]. Additional components needed: 8 Coffin Tiles (from Return of the Witch Lord), Ice Cave Entrance Tile (from Frozen Horror), 2 Small and 2 large Stairway Tiles (from Keller's Keep), Stone Door (from Against the Ogre Horde), +1 Tomb, Trap Door Tile (from KK or RotWL), Surface Tile (from AtOH) The pair get separated, and Felix is captured by a group of Imperial soldiers who are actually cultists of the Chaos God Tzeentch. Felix is bound in chains next to another captive, Magdalena, a beautiful young woman the cult have captured for their dark purposes... The method I used for painting gold on these guys was similar to the method used in the HTPE Custodes article. This is very standard "Tolkien-esqe" Fantasy. A world filled with dwarves, men, and some evil. Our main characters inevitably find themselves "walking the path" of their hero journey to some great unknown. Structurally the book is setup as a series of adventures or short stories. It actually reads a bit like pulp fiction, since you can almost picture the stories as a weekly or monthly release. With the way the book is written there is no definite end point that our heroes are striving for. We just go from adventure to adventure.Note : this paragraph is similar to William King’s interview from White Dwarf : November 2018 issue. Giantslayer: Separated from the last of their companions by a wormhole, Gotrek and Felix find themselves on the twisted isle of Albion, with threats aplenty to face. But this time, one of the Old World's most powerful heroes - Teclis of Ulthuan - is on their side. Anna Lakisova (re-imagined) the iconic John Gravato’s cover painting. Come and follow me into the attic to a cupboard. Inside the cupboard there are lots of books, games and comics. But what is that? Do you hear the tiny voices coming from 3 cardboard boxes? Let us listen in on what the tiny tin dwarves have to say:

Fast forward about seven years to 1998 (I think), and Andy Jones approached me at a convention in the US with the news that GW was returning to the fiction business and would be producing a new magazine, Inferno . That’s where ‘ The Mutant Master’ and ‘ Ulric’s Children’ come from.‘

Sadly, GW Books was closed before what would have been my first novel-length work hit the stores and that seemed to be it for Gotrek and Felix. I went on to write other things until late in the 90s I ran into Andy Jones in a bar at a convention in the United States. He told me that Games Workshop were restarting their book line and asked if I would care to do some more Gotrek and Felix stories for the new fiction magazine they were planning, and perhaps a novel or two to go with it. I leapt at the chance, and in due course, ‘ The Mutant Master’ and ‘ Ulric’s Children’ appeared in Inferno!. The collected stories went into this volume along with the linking matter from Felix’s journal to give the whole tale some coherence.” To get some of the achievements that require the use of gold or character points more easily without permanently stunting your progress, I will suggest to do some save-scumming. This is not exactly an elegant solution, but it gets the job done.

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask… Mournfang Brown is a really solid rust tone and if you’re not using it for rust, you should give it a shot. You can see here that I’ve decided to build up some random areas with this color. I thought that rust might accumulate around the pox marks on the armor, as well as on the lower edges of panels where water might settle. As such, I started building up the paint in layers in these areas. Keep in mind that you’re going to be painting all over this in the future, so don’t stress about it too much.My characters tend to follow the same process, with some minor variations and more complicated schemes.
