Description

The one we used to play instructed players to have the card deck face down first of all so no-one knew what event was coming next and then, on the first reshuffle, to turn it face up so all the players would know what event was in the pipe even if they couldn’t control when it would happen and to keep flipping it round on each reshuffle. As the centre spine of the board is superb , all the small fiddly parts are here and they still have the greaseproof paper packets . Yeah, you can lose arms and legs, there are spinning floor blades and pit traps, lootable containers on the board. They have to pay you for the privilege - no more than you would for transporting your own ore, mind - and have no say in the matter. But on the other hand that’s a waste of money, and at some point you’re gonig to run out and everyone else will get a chance to put you in the same position. The playing board appears to be made of Bakelite and small wooden sticks are used to keep track of your plays.Aside from the rebranding, the only difference was that 'The Business Game' came in a smaller box, and the board was folded into thirds rather than in half. The idea is to sell it, and to sell it you have to take it to the nearest market town and that’s where things start to get interesting.

One of the key strategies is to compel other players to complete inland barge loads from their minehead to the warehouse and to complete sea transport loads and these lessees are charged money for the privilege. In the long lost days before I was a fully paid up member of the board gaming cognoscenti, but still a keen gamer, I spent a lot of time playing mass-market board games with my non-gaming friends. Not only did you answer my questions, you even took it a step further with replying with more pertinent information I needed to know. I had loads of fun moving trucks and ships about full of mined tin to make a Million bucks before anyone else!

JustAnswer is not intended or designed for EMERGENCY questions which should be directed immediately by telephone or in-person to qualified professionals. The premise is very simple: each player controls a mining company, drilling for minerals in an un-named third world country. But since it doesn’t loose you or them any money, and it’s getting ore to the port to be sold, that’s no big deal, right? This game looks like it was played once, not enjoyed and put in a cupboard/ attic with many other games sitting on top of it . I played it when I was young in the sixties when it came out, I lost the game over several moves and time. But if you can’t pay it at all you have to sell your ore direct from the pithead for an absolute pittance compared to what you’d get for moving it to port and that’s a complete disaster: you’ve suddenly got no ore, no dollars and hardly any bloody pounds to get your operation back on its feet again. For the truly ambitious you can export your Tin Ore Abroad by Means of Ships which can move goods quickly but are more expensive or Barges.
