It was abrupt but absolutely necessary! I was about to give 2 stars to this book! But last third changed my mind: at least so many of my questions answered even though they were far fetched explanations!

The locations are vague and not really the main thing here but there is a keen sense of paradise, sun, beaches and a gorgeous chateau where a sex worker arrives to stay for a last job with a client. So exact locations might not be real but the sense of the South of France, a paradisethat you just know is going to go down hill fast, is evident.

But as the guests assemble, it becomes terrifyingly apparent that putting her past behind her is impossible. This is one of those novels where its best to go in blind. Dora is a glamorous high end escort. She has finally found someone to settle down with and move away from working in the sex industry. Before she retires for good, she will complete one more job. Sounds simple right? All I’m going to say, is its anything but that. Her best friend/ trust fund baby Evan sees her condition, trying to convince her to quit her job as like he did before but when he realizes, Dora has no intention to leave this life behind, he does something unexpected, he PROPOSES!
