Description

Together with an old-fashioned Idler drive - very dynamic, lively sound with substance and stable imaging. Correlates to mounting in a DUAL 1019 drive. The M31 and M32 and the Pacific M73PE shown here, shared the M44/55/V15I body, but in a different housing. I cut away the front of the left one to fit an N44-7 stylus. A possible historical side note on the Shure M95 and V15 and perhaps others. Both have bad press in some circles; the following perhaps some illumination on why.

Did you record before the stylus changes, without issues? Or are you new to recording? I don't think recording with Shure vs recording with Jico should produce all these new issues with volume changes. There is a notation toward the end of the pamphlet that calls out loading on the flat response as 47k-ohm and relatively high parallel capacitance that wouldn’t have been commonly applied. The tipped up response is a straight 47k-ohm load. If these exist, https://www.turntablelab.com/products/jico-n-44g-improved-replacement-stylus-for-shure-m44g-192-44g-imp ; https://lptunes.com/products/jico-replacement-shure-n-44g-improved-stylus , I might be interested in getting one, as it seems to be the closest match to Shure's M44G.

Finally what I like least is the look (not really important) is the sound you are looking (well I think). If my research yielded the truth, rather than the usual audio marketing BS (the consumer audio market is full of BS), the "Tonar" brand is a re-branding of Jico's n44g aftermarket stylus. I have a preference for the latter, because it sounds a bit more lively and has a richer presentation. And what's with the cantilever? Did anyone adjust when replacing Shure M44g with Jico, either generic, or club? Thanks, A: He was buying crystal elements from Brush Development Corporation and decided to expand the business.I’m telling this story for two reasons; one, the sound of that 1200 still haunts me and like chasing the dragon for an addict, it’s the feel of that first system (aforementioned 1200, an original NAD 3020 and a pair of Klipsch Heresy II) that I still try to build on with every iteration of hi-fi I’ve curated throughout the in-between decade. The second is the fact that the Shure M44-7 was integral to shaping how music was heard not only for my generation, but Boomers as well. I think I would skip the more expensive Shures like the M97 or M91 and buy one of these. They are typically half the price or at least far less. Throw a new eliptical needle in yours and enjoy the music! pliers are Not good enough to make the perfect bend required, bend have an small arc before the 45° tabs, if you succeed to bend perfectly, then add UV resin to stop tabs from moving or touching the metallic shell, hot silicone could work, but... tolerances must be flawless or repaired side will have lower volume. in summary, dont bother with the cheaper Tonar - Jico models are an excellent alternative to the Shure originals I think it may be due to to the smaller cantilever of the M75 and V15III, which can trace complex stereo grooves better. The M44, and come to that the M3 and M33 series, are much better at mono, shellac and very good with 45rpm singles. But the Shure M75C is really good with 45s as well.

The vanilla n44G is exactly the one I wanted to buy in the first place, only it did not have protection, so I asked JICO staff whether the DJ is any different. The answer I got was that the only difference between the two is that DJ has protection, whereas vanilla does not. The following year she returned to the catalog with the word 'spcial DMC' and also an increase of 100%.

I didn't notice any channel imbalance. Everything sounded fine, except for the occasional bass distortion. Also we better hope there is good uptake with this, otherwise replacement styli could become as hard to find as Shure lol. being stiffer, and jumping more, you need more weight, and and test scratching with them heavier, they seem to burn/wear the record noticeably faster DJs can easily identify which stylus type best suits their individual DJ style and enables their absolute best performance capability. If those models are no longer produced, or erroneously marketed, then I will be one step closer to JICO N44-G DJ improved.

Shure is privately held and has the ability to do things other companies can’t or won’t do. They have a complete archive with at least one of every product they have ever made since 1932. A: That would have been in 1932, a carbon microphone. In 1928 the name was changed to Shure Brothers when his brother joined him. In 1929, Shure started distributing microphones from Universal and Ellis Electrical Labs but decided in 1932 he could build his own. N44 Stylus for Shure M44 5/7/G/C/E options overview. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the DaCapo Team of needle experts if you need assistance choosing. Could not find out if the Tonar are rebranded Jico but seems possible. They advised that the only difference between the 'N44-7' and 'N44-G' models (1.5-3g) and the 'N44-7 DJ/Club' and 'N44-G DJ/Club' is the colour of the body. The M44-7 seems to be a bit more "full" right at the very low frequencies, whereas the M44G seems to have a more predominant upper lows-lower mids.

NinjaGaijin: go here https://www.kabusa.com/frameset.htm?/m1200.htm, Under Headshells, look for HS Washers. In return, please consider naming your firstborn after me. A: I doubt it. Here is what I read: there were 25 million vinyl records produced in 2019; in 1976 there were half a billion. You can never say never, but probably not. Estetique side are not the most beautiful, but it did not matter much, I especially love these beautiful low dynamic, well rounded, well doduu! Do you happen to know whether cantilever modifications are required when switching between Shure and Jico?
