When food photographer and stylist Erin Gleeson left New York City to live in a cabin in the woods of Northern California, she started the blog The Forest Feast to document her vegetable-centric, seasonal approach to cooking. Her readers are drawn to her healthy recipes that anyone can make—dishes that are easy enough to prepare after a long day at work, yet impressive enough for a party—as well as to her visually stunning photography and watercolors.Copperfield’s Books welcomes Erin Gleesonfor an evening celebration of her latest cookbook The Forest Feast Road Trip. The bedroom at the house we rented @humboldtbaysocialclub had a soaking tub and beautiful wood details. Loved the whole concept of this place! That said, I did find a lot of the prose a bit grating as it was almost painfully middle class. It spoke of a level of lifestyle almost unattainable to the average citizen, which belies the availability and attainability of the ingredients. I think this might put off a lot of people who would have a lot to gain from a cookbook like this.theforestfeast #visitcalifornia #cabinlife #cabinporn #bigsur #santabarbara #hwy1 #roadtrip #roadtrippin #thegleesnits A craigslist ad for a little cabin in the woods 12 years ago changed the course of my career like I could have never imagined. My blog and first couple books were entirely inspired by cooking in that first cabin we lived in. Erin says it's okay to use store-bought things like pie crust, etc if it means you'll actually bake. FINALLY, SOMEONE THAT GETS IT. Let's just say I'm not not making pie because I haven't found the right recipe yet, cookbook authors. Through Tesco Northern Ireland’s ‘Taste” campaign, our number one priority is identifying quality, local produce and working with the businesses to introduce their products to Northern Ireland consumers – and beyond – through a range of initiatives that include in-store sampling, event attendance and marketing support.”

About — The Forest Feast

The book series was inspired by Erin’s move from New York City to a cabin in the woods of Northern California and imagery of life in the forest are sprinkled throughout.ForestFeastRoadTrip is 1 year old today! This book was so fun to make— our family road tripped all over California in 2019 and 2020 staying in 10 different cabin-ish places, everywhere from the ocean to the mountains to the desert. We got culinary inspiration along the way by visiting farms, ranches and wineries and I went home to create simple, colorful vegetarian recipes inspired by it all. Yes, this features a cool ending. However, that’s like the 4th best feature of the puzzle.Quality 10/10 (there hasn’t been another brand of puzzle that comes close for me. That I’ve done!)Presentation 10/10 – comes with two poster images to reference. Great for couples.Visual 10/10 Please join New York Times bestselling cookbook author of The Forest Feast cookbook series for an author talk and presentation in Woodside, CA. But the reality, is that when you actually break it all down to what the actual content is - the recipes - there really isn't a whole lot there! Join cookbook author Erin Gleeson for this festive holiday workshop at the historic home and garden in Palo Alto, Gamble Garden. Erin will teach us how to make an impressive grazing board for holiday gatherings. Using simple but thoughtfully curated grocery store ingredients, Erin will demonstrate how to artfully arrange cheeses, nuts, olives, fruit and more to create a spread that will serve a small or large crowd.

The Forest Feast

My fourth cookbook is The Forest Feast Mediterranean. Jon had a sabbatical from work so I pitched a travel book to my publisher and they went for it! We took our infant and toddler along for the ride and hit up Spain, Italy, France and Portugal over the course of 3 months. I created vegetarian versions of dishes I saw along the way and also created recipes inspired by regional produce and products we tasted. What’s grown in the western Mediterranean is quite similar to what we have in California, so it felt like a natural extension of my cooking. The first dish I made had my boyfriend making those short of moaning sounds as he ate. The second dish had him bragging on social media. The third dish had him looking at me like I was God's gift to the veggie world! a Craftsman cabin, built by the owners in the mountains near Big Sur. There was a wood-fired sauna & an outdoor bathtub! A cooking demonstration using an induction burner from Erin Gleeson , New York Times best-selling author of Forest Feast

Join author Erin Gleeson at one of her favorite local independent bookstores, Linden Tree, for a cookbook club meeting featuring her vegetarian cookbook for children, The Forest Feast for Kids. Erin will talk about the making of the book, what it’s like to feed her 3 kids vegetarian meals at home and answer all your questions in this fun and interactive afternoon event. Kids welcome, of course! I’ll be signing books to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day in Palo Alto, CA at Books Inc, my favorite local bookstore. I can’t stop raving about these puzzles. It’s like the maker got into my head and saw all the things that have ever bugged me about a puzzle and fixed it. Quality pieces. So many posters of the picture so multiple people can work. I love the pictures and how you can look at most pieces and figure out where it goes. Cute artwork. Fun at the end. I don’t know. I just can’t figure out how you would improve on it! Seriously, get this puzzle!
