Attached to the vest is a chain and faux leather stake, capturing the essence of Jareth's dark and mysterious allure. As evidenced by the dirty plate in the background, apparently I had eaten a cinnamon bun at some point during the making of this part of the costume. I hope to do another Jareth costume someday (I’ve already started working on one, but no idea when it’ll be finished).

For the first test, I enlarged the pattern pieces a bit, but I held off on going full-size as I didn’t want to risk wasting foam if it turned out things didn’t line up properly.

The beauty of the Labyrinth is there are so many characters to feature; it is perfect for a large group costume! My next door neighbor is actually a very talented and creative costume designer and headdress creator. I didn’t end up sewing the peplum onto the fabric tunic, but I did use it on the chest armour piece.
