Once you read this series, be prepared, because nothing you read after this will ever compare. I dont say that this is my favorite series of all time easily. I actually wouldn't say there's anything else that I've read so far or will read that will ever compare to this. This isn't just a series or a book. This is a work of pure art. I can't even put into words how amazing this series is. I dont think anyone can ever do this series justice. Rowan Whitethorn is just one of those characters that just made my heart happy with the love that he had shown Aelin when they were together and the dedication and care that he had for her in Kingdom of Ash just made me so happy. He loved all of Aelin and not just certain parts of her and it was just an amazing relationship to watch unfold. The adventurous pace, something happening all the time, with character breaks/development throughout. Even parts that seemed slow or inconsequential did actually factor in, more or less. If she spent more time on one area there was a reason. There’s a new major character whose importance is unclear, a witch who rides a dragon (or a “wyvern” which in my mind is the same thing). Which really ought to be cool - I mean, witch + dragon. But it feels like a long training and game montage, with only occasional moments that feel necessary.

Because Yrene is such a big part of the climax, I do think it makes sense for book 6 to be a full novel; it would be weird and deus ex machina-y if the big savior only previously appeared in a short story and a novella. Even if we have to endure the secondary romance of that book. And all that Chaol; she does fix him into tolerability, so there's that. Tower of dawn - Chapters 1-2 - chapter 2 mentions something that happens in chapters 1-13 of Empire of Storms King of Adarlan really wasn't that bad of a guy once you got the Vlag out of him. He really did care for Dorian and what he did with the Key just made me cry. Personally, I could've done without reading these books in my entire life. Someone could tell me "you're cursed to never see another sjm book again!" and I'd be like "that's fine with me". I'm not usually the kind of person to say "I hate this book" but to be frank, I hate all of these books. I don't like the author either. Three is that I've read most of SJM'S books, and I'll say this: SJM is utterly incapable of writing an unproblematic book.Lysandra was good for Aelin and just a good character in general. She was a great friend to Aelin and was willing to do so much to help her friend and I think that that is what counts in their relationship.

A Dark and Hollow Star saga by Ashley Shuttleworth (the first two books are out as of right now, there's going to be 4 total) When magic has gone from the world and a vicious king rules from his throne of glass, an assassin comes to the castle. She is a prisoner, but if she can defeat twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition to find the greatest assassin in the land, she will become the king's champion and earn her freedom. But the evil she encounters in the castle goes deep, and as dark forces gather on the horizon – forces which threaten to destroy her entire world – the assassin must take her place in a fight greater than she could ever have imagined. In a land without magic, an assassin is summoned to the castle. She has no love for the vicious king who rules from his throne of glass, but she has not come to kill him. She has come to win her freedom. If she defeats twenty-three murderers, thieves, and warriors in a competition, she will be released from prison to serve as the King's Champion. Fans new and old will dive into this special box set that contains a 4-color poster and hardcover editions of the entire series: The Assassin's Blade, Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn, and the thrilling finale, Kingdom of Ash.

My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name's Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I'd still beat you, no matter what you call me.” As dark forces gather on the horizon – forces which threaten to destroy her entire world – Celaena must fight to protect everything she holds dear, thrusting her into the epic, heart-stopping fantasy series that turned #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas into a worldwide phenomenon.I still don't really like any male characters besides the love interest who dies in book 0. Largely due to the abundance of arrogant cranky alphas. My #2 male is maybe Falkan, because of his quest for my fave rather than any aspect of his actual personality which is...fine. I was conflicted about reading Tower of Dawn just because Chaol was not my favorite character and I didn't want to read a whole book about him, but I enjoyed it so much more than I originally expected too and he grew on me. I loved getting to experience a new part of the world and meet new characters.
