Description

This book managed to fill in all the voids the other Seerah books had. However, once finishing parts 1 and 2 of this book, I think Muslims would enjoy "The Sealed Nectar" far more as they would already have a base understanding of the seerah. The Simple Seerah is produced by Toyris Miah. The idea for The Simple Seerah came about when Toyris discovered his 11-year-old nephew Zakaria had a passion for reading history books. He tried to find some Islamic history books for Zakaria but struggled to find anything which catered to his age group, this sparked a desire to produce a book on the Seerah that appealed to a younger demographic. Usually when I try to reach Seerah books I get overwhelmed by the chunk of historic information of the Arab world, culture and societal norms prior to the birth of the Prophet. Thinking from the perspective of a young person over the age of 10, I believe this is one of the reason why young people (and adults) aren’t able to engage with mainstream Seerah books. This book is aproachable - it speaks in a language and style that we are familiar with, and we don’t need to have extensive knowledge to be able to grasp the contents!

Your donations will help educate thousands of children today, and generations more, who will cherish these books and become the future leaders of our Ummah. This book is a re-written form of Sirah Ibn Ishaq. Ibn Ishaq was criticized for massive inauthenticity in narrations and denounced by most early scholars of Islam. It is presented for use by scholars and students who can distinguish between weak and sahih narratiosn) Relying upon classical sources of seerah such as Ibn Is'haq's Sirat RasulAllah, Ibn Sa'd's Tabaqaat, atTabari's Tareekh, & Ibn Kathir's AsSeerah anNabawiyyah, the authors have woven together the many historical narrations about RasulAllah's biography in an easy to understand manner that vividly brings every chapter to life. I really enjoyed the glimpses we got of certain events from the perspectives of specific Companions - it made the seerah that much more exciting and accessible. in diverse ways that has led to scientific inventions and growth of knowledge in the Muslim world between the 7th and 14th These are the 2 eternal sources of guidance for men and women in their struggles to achieve perfection in their moral, spiritual and social areas of life. The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad. Tafseer al-Qur’aan al-‘Azeem by Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him). This book is good for tafseer based on reports and it is useful and trustworthy. But it does not pay much attention to matters of grammar and style. The Simple Seerah: Part One" by @asim_khan21c & Toyris Miah is, hands down, one of the best (if not only!) seerah resources aimed at middle grade readers. The secret to its success lies in how the life of RasulAllah (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam) - from birth until the hijrah - is related in a vibrant storytelling style. Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources by Martin Lings – This one is also available on YouTube as a free audiobook. It is a good short book and you can listen to the whole thing in 5.5 hours. It is a popular book among both Muslims and non-Muslims. However, I would highly advise to go through Sh. Hamza Yusuf’s lectures that go along with it as a supplement. Sh. Hamza explains the book in this series of lectures and provides further details missed by Lings and points out some mistakes made in the book as well. Upon accepting Islam, Safwan ibn Qudama(R.A.) said to Rasool Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, I love you.'Prophet replied, 'A man is with the one he loves.'" (Tirmidhi)

The letters of the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh)

Rasool Allah(صلىاللهعليهوسلم)smiled and said: “O Amr, do you not know that Islam erases everything before it and hijrah erases everythingbefore it and Hajj erases everything before it.” Muhammad's life is a perfect model and example for people to follow to attain goodness, piety, and success in their individual as well as social life. Discrepancies compared to non-Muslim sources. But there are also similarities and agreements both in information specific to Muhammad, [15] and concerning Muslim tradition at large.
