Those who enjoy licking the bowl will dislike the spatula because it works very effectively in removing mixture to the very depth of the stainless steel bowl. Once I had the dough right I got loads of cookies all the same shape and size, also unlike a lot of kitchen equipment this is really easy to clean it comes apart so you can get into every part of it.

I have a KitchenAid that I got a few years ago, and I have never been able to get it to work correctly. I used the handblender part for making soups a lot but again the join between the top part and the bottom started to fall apart (though still useable) about a year ago. As you said essentially the AJ000233 model has many of the same attachments, though without rigorously using this model in my own kitchen over a period of a couple of months I would be reluctant to recommend it. Thanks to the strong motor, the mixer can handle extremely heavy, tough doughs - saving you hours and hours of kneading-related arm-ache!The company were good and sent me out another one quickly but I don't think I'll be using it again for anything other than eggs. I know that it was my fault for placing something wet on the base unit, but the new food processor now has a sealed base unit so that the same problem doesn't happen, where as this Andrew James product is very open and you can see right through to the electrics inside. Will definitely be checking out the Kenwood and when I make my purchase i’ll let you know what I went with and how it turned out.
