Art work and story, as well as dialogues, are passable on their own, but do not hold well in conjunction to greatness of the game. It does, however, testify to the game’s enduring power, and attempt to understand the strong magic it exerts to this day. I’d gladly frame multiple pages of the art on my walls, it’s a great looking book that captures the game perfectly. It captures it well in a couple small moments, but the overarching tense, creeping eldritch-esque horror is lacking.
