I don't get much vanilla, but there is a slightly rancid muskiness to the base that somehow works, adding a sensual quality. I have to admit, I bought it for nostalgia to see if I still like it as much as I did when it was my signature as a young teen. This perfume is watery florals (I don't really detect pear, which I'm happy about) atop sandalwood and musk.

To me this is a Britney, in a luxurious hotel room surrounded by expensive vanilla candles and clean designer bed sheets, but she herself is understated in simple dark jeans and a delicate white lace cami, her blonde hair lays in loose curls with only a swipe of mascara and pink gloss because she’s naturally so pretty. I am 28 now, and while this perfume still smells sexy to me, it's more like a teenage/young adult type of sexy to me now. I was confused upon initial spray as I was met with such a fresh scent - I liked this when I was 11? Don’t let the fact it’s a celebrity fragrance put you off as I find this out performs lots of designer fragrances. Anywho, fast forward 4 years from that first failed relationship, I became a born-again proud heaux and started experiencing with perfumes again.I'm sure that several women out there were teenagers when they bought this and still wear it today in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Britney Spears personifies daring and piques the curiosity of young women everywhere, whilst celebrating moments of impulse. The scent contains bright top notes of Louisiana magnolia, pear and lotus, followed by a flower heart of tuberose, jasmine and pink cyclamen, while the base is an effervescent mix of musk, vanilla and precious woods. I also heard someone say this is what they would imagine britney would wear, and I would have to completely agree! The scent opens with top notes of pear, lotus and magnolia, middles notes are pink cyclamen, Jasmine and tuberose.

This smells like an expensive floral soap wherein the pear and lotus make this airy and light, perfect for summer and spring. It’s an aquatic floral that doesn’t rely too much on water Lily or lotus so the florals aren’t watery and the pear is what’s providing the sweet watery vibe. As it is, it has an alcoholic hairspray vibe with tons of jasmine; not the shampoo-fresh, aquatic delight that I fell in love with all those years ago.I'm not overly keen on white florals for the most part, but it's for that reason I'd really recommend this to people that would like to add a floral perfume to their rotation but like myself often find them overbearing or headache-inducing. Curious was one of the most beautiful perfumes, but I’ve made two recent attempts to get new bottles and they weren’t the same formula. It's very floral but it's not a sugar bomb like a lot of celebrity scents these days so this is an amazing day time perfume, even for most professions. It’s not intensely sweet the way most Britney perfumes are and it has a rather old school perfumey smell about it.
