The same kind of shading can be seen in the skirt, being pink in the outer layers and blue in the inner layers. With the exception of her “Masquerade” outfit (which I’d guess Raoul/The Managers purchased for her), this is the only time we see her in her own clothing. Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. I could give you the short version - and my interpretation of them (which might not be identical to other interpretations of it). In the movie, between Raoul's invitation and the Phantom's appearance, Christine changes into this costume.

The Rooftop cape is beautiful and romantic (picture taken under stage as I’m about to run up the stairs—notice wonderful dresser Emily Fox behind me) and The Countess has pink hair (my only wig change in the show—Leonators will notice the arm of Christine-wig-man-extraordinaire Leone Gagliardi in this pic)! It was unbelievably difficult for us to make our suit and dress but with our parents help I like to think we are pretty decent tailors now. When Christine goes from playing Serafimo to playing The Countess, replacing Carlotta in the lead role, she is dressed up in a grand costume. She wears it when at the Manager’s office when learning the Phantom wants her to play the lead in his opera, and she wears it to the graveyard when visiting her father’s grave. Again the red, green and gold shades are kept, and again the design shows how Victorians would envision a historical style rather than showing actual historical style.

It has been suggested that the corset she wears with the dressing gown is the same corset she wore with her "Think of Me" dress. I understand her main character is a female, but it was considered a joke to society to essentially be transgender. The decorations on the bodice - the gold collar and the “crotch tiara” are strangely sexual, covering the erotic zones of the girls. I found the distance between the rings too great and it pulled the skirt back too much, so I reduced the width.Though Christine doesn’t get to show these sides of her own personality elsewhere in the show, I like to think they are a part of her and she loves getting to explore them through the opera. In the stage show, there are diagonal ruffles on the skirt, and there's an overlay draped at an angle in the movie. She also had to add the lace to her dress and I know that was pretty frustrating but I believe it really sells the dress. Its length ranges from mid-calf to floor length, and it is trimmed with lace at the hem and neckline. I never got "star princess" from the stage Masquerade outfit, but got "flower" immediately from the movie.

It fits me perfectly {the bodice looks a little loose but that’s because I can’t lace it properly myself 😅} but it’s a perfect fit.Read more about the condition New with tags: A brand-new, unused, unworn and undamaged item in the original packaging (such as the original box or bag) and/or with the original tags attached. Christine only wears the blue dress twice during Phantom of the Opera: when she meets with the manager of the opera house and when she visits her father's grave.

I also love it when my wonderful leading man, James Barbour, helps me out by carrying my train up the stairs to my dressing room after the show. Etsy’s 100% renewable electricity commitment includes the electricity used by the data centres that host Etsy. Some of the embelishments on the skirt are a little fragile so needs to be worn with care to avoid tearing. As for he dressing gown, or robe, Christine just arrived back to her dressing room and barely had time to change into an entirely new garment as would be suggested by the movie; she tells Meg about her lovely Angel of Music and almost immediately Raoul comes in, invites her to dinner, and leaves. When I found Emily's page, I was so happy to see that you could select custom sizing for the costume as it meant she would be able to cater for my curvy body! Christine Daae is a chorus/ballerina who becomes the object of an obsession by the mysterious Phantom of the Opera, who kidnaps and drags her to his lair. At the rooftop she wears a mint or blue hooded cloak - the shade makes it looks like Christine is bathed in moonlight - while she during the applause wears a big, “powdered” wig.
