One would not be able to relate to it unless actually having wore it back then or grew up smelling it on others. When I got the box the first thing I did was tear into the Halston packaging to anoint myself, and this hell juice smelled just like someone ashed out a Marlboro Red on slightly mildewed oakmoss. It reminds me of another '70s fragrance I love, Imprevu -- probably because the green woody notes are so dominant on me, and I get very little of the florals.

I did my best to pick out individual notes before peeking at Fragrantica, and the couple I got were some nice dry mossiness and some sweetness I guessed as melon. Definitely a sour tinge, reminiscent of that vegetal sharpness associated with roses that have not yet come to bloom but are on the verge. As one of the few dry, unsweetened, mossy 70s scents left nowadays, it's worth a try just for the experience, but I think it won't be easy to love for most of us and that's okay. This is a nice, dark, smoky, vintage scent that serves nicely to represent this genre of scent in a collection. I'd say alcohol free version smells more like body oil or balm, it's more powdery, just like a reminiscence of "normal" version, which is deep, dark, dense green chypre with impressive sillage and longevity. People even say they know when I've arrived at work, and there has never been a word about it being offensive to anyone with sensitivities to fragrances at the office either.
