AD410 works great so far and the human detection has made it very reliable and well worth the upgrade. These new doorbells supposedly now do person detection, but I certainly don't expect anything resembling high-end native AI capability. I have only used Eufy in the past, so I don't have a lot of context or experience with other video doorbells, but I feel like this is a bit of a step behind.

I don’t, but I do know that someone reported on the Amcrest forum that they were provided one by Amcrest Support. img user we should be able to safely replace whatever is on the doorbell without touching things like the bootloader or kernel. I suspect many of them have been trained on all the settings or have installed enough to know what to do. To really take advantage of the nest camera features you need to have a subscription (save videos over an extended period time) Additionally you can not easily add the nest camera to you home security system. Since I have the NodeRED setup working, and it looks like that would be more work (I have 2 doorbells), I’ll stick with my current setup, but it’s nice to have more options. The system contains busybox, naturally, so doing a symlink from dsh to bash would probably net us a proper shell. BTW - if anyone is needing to install a back-level firmware, it is possible to obtain the zip file from Amcrest Support and install it via the ConfigTool app update option.

From this perspective, it is just way way better than RIng PRO video doorbell that i previously had. And if you think I should pay more to NOT have you map out my life then you should have charged me for it before I bought it.The live video feed, motion sensor, and doorbell button are all integrated into Home Assistant over local IP. I decided to instead use motion events to trigger the notifications, with AI to filter out only the events which actually contain people. I do see from an event watcher app that the doorbell is properly recognizing pixel movement and/or PIR movement but it isn’t sending an associated push notification when these occur. That might not even be 100% as I have no idea if it’s checksumming the individual squashfs read-only partitions.
