This is a superb release, I tried it in the mall with some other stuff and tried it on my skin because I didn't put enough juice on the blotter to test it correctly. The scent itself is soooo beautiful, perfect for a hot summer day that you don't want to go heavy on perfume but still different than all the other guys around you cause yeah, it has citrusy and water-y notes in it but, the pine and cypress with their resinous green tones prevail. The fragrance opens very sharp and in the start I only smell the conifers, which makes the top to woody and sharp for my taste.I can easily say this is my favourite Issey Miyake and already one of my favourite freshie I've ever tried. L'Eau d'Issey Summer Edition by Kevin Lucbert was created by Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne and Daphné Bugey. I also did try the women's version and whilst I personally prefer that one, this is also very decent. It opens strong yet fresh- pleasantly citrusy, then come the heart notes- a beautiful complex eucalyptus and pretty quickly we move to the base, the dry down, which is amazing cause it's green and forest- y yet amazingly Mediterranean. The journey ends with Dora Baghriche taking us to Panarea, a small volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, a volcanic land that dips into the vibrant blue of the water.Gets a bit herbal in the middle, I was sure there was basil in this, without checking the note list, it's there, but accompanies the bergamot and the water notes efficiently, and blends so well with the 2 other notes. The Pine is beautifully done: green, fresh, herbal but not harsh or overpowering like in Polo Green.

Top notes are Watery Notes, Calabrian bergamot and Neroli; middle notes are Frangipani, Orange Blossom and Rose; base notes are Musk, Coconut Milk and Driftwood. This is a perfectly balanced citrus scent, where each note plays its role superbly without shadowing the other elements.
