The John Frieda Root Blur is easy to apply and I never feel any left-over residue left on my hair at all. So even though this product sample clearly isn’t my shade, I do at least, have some greys to try it out on. A few months ago I reviewed the L'Oreal Magic Retouch Root Spray, so I thought it would be good to compare this with a powder version too. I usually use a root coverup that it’s in a tube with a wand like mascara, but if this one doesn’t take too long to apply, I might prefer it! The dual-shade palette of our Color Blending Concealer gives you the freedom to customize your shade and allows you to blend to perfection. The darker shade for me gave me the best coverage on my lighter roots, as I tend to dye my hair darker than my true hair colour anyway. The shadows are pretty pigmented so I do advise doing this in a bathroom with a towel round you to avoid fallout onto your clothes. The Root Blur helps keep my color looking fabulous, helps me not have to visit my stylist as often and I can change up my hair look in a second by adding some depth to my hair by using the darker shade in the palette!

This would have been a god send for me when I used to have blonde highlights, my dark roots grow in at lightening speed. Give your color an instant refresh with the John Frieda Root Blur Colour Blending Concealer, a dual-shade pressed powder palette that is easy to blend into your roots for a quick touch up that will last until you wash it out. These root concealers, like this blonde root touch up, are pressed-powder products designed to temporarily cover visible greys or root regrowth. I also recommend using a large, well lit mirror when applying this, as it can be a little tricky trying to avoid getting it on the scalp area when you are doing this for the first time. It’s been about six weeks since I’ve last seen my hair stylist and right at my hairline on my forehead, I’m starting to notice those pesky grey roots are showing up! There is a heck of a lot of packaging here for two tiny bricks of powder – it looks exactly like an Illamasqua palette (but doesn’t have the weight in the feel) and who has time to pick out each shade or even blend them to something that’s an exact match?

However it is a shame this is a bit on the pricier side for such a small amount and so I would be interested to see how long this lasted it you were using it regularly in-between colouring. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .

Someone did point out that it’s a very handy product for wig wearers to run around the wig/hair line, but it’s a more patient person than me who can be bothered to be so exact about grey coverage. This is a trick I learned from a very popular hair stylist who works with a group of sisters we are ALL following.

The John Frieda Root Blur comes in four shade options from the lightest platinum to a dark espresso blend. The powder actually comes in a nifty compact with a mirror and a brush, which is ideal for on the go touch-ups. Do you think it would be possible to brush it through as I am sick of people telling me I should dye it.I’m starting to see more and more grays as well, so I might need to invest in this again soon since I think I’ll need to color my hair have the baby arrives! also great to use whilst growing out roots till you decide which colour to choose with regular colourants. This one area by my forehead in particular really annoys me because I have this tiny patch of grey hair that always seem to show my color fading so much quicker than the rest of my hair. Pressed powders are blends of opacifying agents, micas, colourants, and emollients, which are free-flowing powder mixtures until we press them into shape in their compacts.
