The Noctua A12X25 LS PWM 120mm Fan has established itself as a true deluxe choice when it comes to premium-quality quiet 120mm fans.

Featuring advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels and an AAO standard frame, the NF-A4x10 5V is a dedicated 5V version of Noctua’s highly optimised, premium quality quiet 40x10mm fan.

Noctua is a cooperation between the Austrian Rascom Computerdistribution GmbH and the Taiwanese Kolink International Corporation and has been developing, producing and marketing high-end cooling components for several decades. The latest version of Noctua's advanced Smooth Commutation Drive system ensures superb running smoothness by eliminating torque variations and switching noises.

Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds. The NF-A12x25’s sophisticated aerodynamic design allows for a pressure to airflow (P/Q) curve that is extremely strong in the critical mid-section. Featuring advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels and Noctua’s AAO frame, the NF-A12x15 is a highly optimised, premium quality quiet fan in size 120x15mm. With SSO2, the back magnet sits closer to the fan axis for even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.

With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency. I noticed that one had fallen off and wasn't sure where it was or if the fan actually had it when I took it out of the packaging (never expected that they could fall off) finally found it and the very soft rubber was a pain to try and put into the fan (long stalks that needed to be fed through holes and soft rubber stalks that didn't want to go through the holes. Combined with the optional NA-FMA1 adaptor frame that allows it to be installed on 140mm radiators, the NF-A12x25 is a great upgrade for 140mm-based watercoolers.
