We all know the feeling of excitement when we finally get our hands on one of these highly sought-after LEGO models. Although it was only on screen for a couple of minutes, there is no doubt that the silhouette against the full moon was a iconic shot.

You can have a complex and elegant solution that works perfectly every time, except that if that solution isn't precisely implemented the same way by everyone, whatever they do instead _isn't_ going to work the way you intended. Connecting the Batwing to its stand is simple and I think the model looks spectacular, due in particular to the contrast between the display stand and this vehicle. In bag 13, we finally find the Joker minifigure, and build up the display stand, which is able to support the Batwing flying up or down, but not sideways on an anle, which might be the most useful angle to view it on. It may have only had a few minutes of screen time, but the Batwing made a sizable impression on the audiences of the time.

Overall, if you like Batman, and especially the 1989 Burton/ Keaton movie, you will appreciate this set.
