I recommend this one if you want to smell clean, fresh/herbal, it has a good lasting power without being cloying, to be a spring/summer scent.

not just becasue it was from a special person but its because it smells very unique and it projects very well!Burberry's classic Weekend for men fragrance opens with light citrus top notes of fresh lemon, grapefruit and sweet tangerine that invigorates.

The dry-down though is pretty decent, so once you get past that extremely synthetic mandarin in the opening notes, the smell is bearable.

It gives this fragrance a green, almost-acidic quality to this stuff that gives off a clean vibe that you can’t dislike. Stacked against other Burberry fragrances, Weekend stands out for its casual yet unique take on a fresh profile. I've got 3 fresh genre Creed fragrances in my collection, and they don't come close to Burberry Weekend on many levels. It's a fragrance to spray on after a weekend of partying in Cabo, waking up hungover next to a beautiful girl and you reek of cigarettes and alcohol from the previous night, just spray some Burberry weekend on!

with ivy out front and centre, i find it quite linear and thats good because i do like linear fragrances. Smells like kids playing soccer in a grass field while an electric lawnmower chases them into evergreen shrubs. Weekend is a clean, light (not in its sillage, but on the notes), and just by the name "weekend" you can tell that's the whole idea, an "out of the shower" fragrance that has nothing to do with the "serious and ultra alpha male" fragrances that most guys wear at work. I imagine that this cologne has got some note that was in vogue for fresh colognes at that time and which I have not felt since.I'm not sure if classifying this as strictly "Citrus" is correct as I seem to get other scents that are much more present.

Some may complain that it's a synthetic fragrance, for personally i been wearing this on humid nights for many years, not the summer day time just the high humid nights and for me it works, as soon as i spray the top notes combo smells like sweet guava to my nose, keep in mind this last two hours only but, but i have noticed with humidity rise it recharges again and you get a whiff of that top note again, I remember one summer night i was out on a date and this doesn't last but it was safe by the time i picked up my date the fragrance was gone, driving her back home at midnight on my sweet 4th gen Camaro i was about to light up my cigarette while rolling down the window and boom the fragrance resurrection all the citrus notes came back to life which still and i am convinced it smells like sweet guava, she turned and looked at me as if i just sprayed it and said you smell so good and stick her nose on my neck and complimented my fragrance, do i get synthetic? The projection is not powerful, but when someone catches a whiff of you they know you are wearing a quality fragrance and I've gotten more than a few compliments on this. A fresh citrus fragrance where the burst of Lemon and Grapefruit is softened by a subtle radiance of Amber and Honey.The drydown has some merits with the soft amber slowly peaking up, but it is just too little, too late.
